@nestapendragon I'm not saying you shouldn't play Commander. I'm saying learn how to play MTG properly first so you aren't an NPC at every table, begging for the fifth free mulligan in a row because you suck at basic game theory.

@Texas_Dice It's strange that commander is the worst format ever, not real magic, everyone who plays it is awful, but it's the only event that seems to fire and commander nights still pack stores. Why is that?

People always say "Don't learn magic by playing commander!" and then give a million good reasons why you shouldn't. And they're wrong, sorry! I would not have stuck with magic if all my first experiences were sweaty 1v1 games. The gathering (with 3 friends) is what drew me.

I feel like it isn’t said enough but Corey and Eidilh are really an awful commentary team for Pro Tour coverage. They make too many stupid jokes, lack understanding of the game/format, and don’t speak to the tournament at large Paul and Marshal on the other hand are great

@ZJay_99 @nestapendragon The best standard precon they ever made (Mono Red in Amonkhet) was "accidentally" really close to the #1 meta deck, so the LGS price jacked it from 40$ to 80$.

@nestapendragon I just wish Wizard made better standard precons (and also went back to 2 year rotation). Bring back the challenger decks, those were great what the hell was wrong with them? The theme decks they've done recently are rubbish.

@OfficalRavioli People like you are the reason why Commander Kevins never attack, complain about being interacted with and think 32 lands is the correct number to run in their avg cmc 7.5 Dinosaur deck. Standard sucks. It has sucked since 2015. WOTC is the problem.

@nestapendragon You are forgiven. The answer depends on brackets btw. In very powerful games, efficiency is the most important thing because threats are fast. In lower brackets, it's more important to keep up on resources. Demolition field doesn't set you back a land vs 2/3 opponents.

A Badgermole Cub of mine was hit by a 10th edition Italian Remove Soul today (opponent thought it was Essence Scatter). Had a good chuckle. Nothing happened, just a warning. I handed them a Scatter out of my draft deck to replace their one Remove Soul with.
