I am...amused...I think that is the right word...to see that the new ToS from @GoGalaGames has gutted the "Governance" section of the Terms of Service to remove the idea that nodes can take part in governance. Within a couple minutes of that, someone sent me the video below which is just a bit on the nose...but its also pretty funny...I am trying to decide if I should share it or not. For now, I don't think I am going to, but who knows, maybe it will come later. For the record, I don't think @Benefactor0101 is a bad guy...hes not evil or anything like that...I think he is doing what he thinks needs to be done to keep the company running, I just happen to very much disagree with the way that is going. As a member of the community, all I can do is sit here and post while building other stuff I think will work better in the long run. I have received a few pings from Gala employees about feeling that I was attacking them when I make these posts about what I see as negative or harmful things the company is doing. I want to be absolutely clear...my support for you, the employees, and for the Gala community has never wavered. You work in an incredibly difficult industry in a company that can be...mercurial..., and I know better than anyone just how tough it can be. However, my love for the community and the employees doesn’t mean blind support for everything the company does. My father had a Bible verse on his van: “Let all things be done decently and in order.” That principle guides me, and it’s why I’m speaking out now. There are things that are being done that go beyond what I see as a business decision. The decision not to continue licensing The Walking Dead, for example, is a simple business decision. Whether I agree with it or not, it is a business decision. The decision to remove Governance from the ToS and the network in general, is a BAD THING in web3. It goes against everything that I stand for. To tell the community that they do not deserve to have a voice is unequivocally wrong. I have expressed this to the team in personal emails I have sent to them, but they have taken this step anyways. I cannot support this...I support the community and the employees, but these decisions are something I cannot be silent about. I stand with the community and individual participants (the ones not doing this thing). I can’t stand beside this decision. Please don’t take my posts personally...they are not aimed at you. But if you find yourself feeling like they are, it might be worth taking a moment to reflect and ask whether your actions are truly aligned with the standards you hold for yourself and your web3 principles. As $GALA comes up on its staking requirement, a few community members have come to me asking for me to look into some of the bridging transactions. I have learned a couple things. Over the past week, a grand total of 302 users have bridged about 689m GALA into GalaChain, where it needs to be for the staking to work. Of those bridging more than 1m $GALA, there have been 48. One of those users was Gala Games' Reserve wallet, which bridged in 500,000,000 $GALA, meaning that 72.6% of all $GALA bridged in over the last week was Gala itself. While I will give every bridging person the benefit of the doubt (even if 171 of those bridging were moving less than 10k $GALA) that means that only 301 users have bridged in enough to run 189 nodes. Out of the currently 35k nodes online...there has been enough $GALA bridged in to run less than 1% of them. Even if we look at all $GALA on GalaChain (4.7b), it is only enough to run 4,700 nodes, or 13% of the network...but that is forgetting that 171k users hold that GALA. This isn't decentralization, the community of node operators doesn't want it, and its absolutely antithetical to everything that web3 and blockchain is supposed to be. I poured my heart and soul into Gala for four years, and to see this going down is...ugh...just so beyond gut-wrenching I can't stand it. I still believe this can be turned around. There is a path forward where the community can be respected, not disregarded. I’m calling on the team at Gala to stop making decisions that push people away. It’s time to listen, to take responsibility, and to come together in support of the very community that helped build this from the ground up. I’ve already sent an email to Gala sharing my concerns, but I haven’t received any response. At the same time, I hear from the community constantly. People are confused. They’re frustrated. They feel betrayed. I spent too much time building all of this with you to sit back and watch it burn to the ground through colossal unforced errors. In the face of some recent $GALA announcements, I have a message for every node operator: You are not "parasites." You are the lifeblood of the systems you support. You are the heartbeat that keeps the networks alive. You are the ones who stepped up when no one else believed it would work and added your energy, passion and resources to the project. I will never turn my back on that. Others may try to forget. They may try to rewrite history to fit another narrative. None of that changes the truth of what you were promised as Founders of the ecosystem. Know this! Without you, there is no decentralization. Without distributed governance and a plan to advance decentralization, there is no future. Consensus is not just a word...it is a pact. It is a sacred agreement that what we build, we build together. Without consensus, there is nothing. Without consensus, all chains are dead. So hold the line. You matter to me. You always have and you always will.

I was talking to an employee yesterday about $GALA and he had an interesting view. He said we are the only top 100 token that has had no defi elements this entire time. He pointed it out that we are now adding a ton of defi to the project: 1. DEX 2. Launchpad 3. Staking 4. Defi loans 5. Native stable coins 6. 3rd party development He and I agreed that we are both very excited about the future of $GALA This doesn't include all the efforts internally on Games, Music and Film. Nor any of our efforts to do work in government around the world.

As I said staking is coming to $GALA If all 50k founder nodes staked 1m each that would equal the total supply of the token. Should staking be required to earn in the Gala ecosystem? And should nodes stake even more to show their community support?
