🚨28 bakers have been deactivated today. We are now 185 Bakers around the world protecting the Tezos Network.🚨 I still have extra staking capacity available for those looking for a baker. Staking fee: 10%. These are unprecedented times, not only for Tezos, but for blockchain tech as a whole. Blockchain is still operating inside a fiat world: Infrastructure, hardware, hosting, energy, taxes, everything is measured in fiat. When prices collapse, many validators can’t keep up. Others simply lose hope and leave. That’s why low operational costs matter. If validating becomes too expensive, only large players survive, and we slowly hand the network back to the same centralized powers we wanted to escape from. We either defend open networks by being part of them, or we give the future away to governments and centralized institutions. I’m ready for both scenarios. Digitally or in person, I will keep supporting cypherpunk ideals as long as I can breath.

All Tezos bakers attest. Why do we need it? No more reward variability from cycle to cycle anymore. Every cycle, same reward. So if some cycle you see not same (i.e. lower) reward, you know baker is missing work. No need to check explorer. Predictability!

There are certain “community members” across hundreds of chains that are the functional equivalent of the movie 300. They count for 100 or even 200 regular “holders.” Most regular people have a 50/50 chance of attracting further holders/believers/users vs. repulsing them… so it’s a wash. Of course it’s not so simple because once you get into the hundreds of holders, psychological factors of scale kick in and totally disrupt common sense logical functions. Certain projects have been smart enough to actively spear hunt and support these 100X people. A single skillful, motivated and inspirational person can do a whole lot. Ten of these users can affect thousands more.

Tezos should be doing massive collabs. One 1/1 piece, hundreds of artists, a million tez split between them. No other community could pull this off. And it answers the only real criticism Tezos gets: that the money isn’t there.

Okay this is tough but necessary... Farewell, Tezos 💜 You gave me more than I could have imagined when I first arrived. Looking back at ARCADIA, Share4Tez (and seeing that referral chart still live on Objkt), TezTones, ZeroContract + the FOC projects I still deeply believe in, and, of course, the birth of Retro Man Universe, I can see how important this chapter has been. I'm grateful to everyone who crossed paths with me here. Collectors, collaborators, builders, and dear friends. Thank you for the encouragement, opportunities, conversations, and the chance to create alongside you. But every chapter has its season, and I know it's time for me to move forward and give my full attention to what comes next. This means there won't be any more mints from me 💜 What I've built here comes with me. Excited for the road ahead.

We’re still missing bridged native Tether from #Tezos to Etherlink. The only Etherlink USDT available is needlessly bridged from (and enriching) other chains. If I can deploy bridging from native L1 to Etherlink for USDtz, then why can’t TT/NL do so for USDT after all this time?
