Has anyone set up a simulated physiotherapy placement, and would be happy to talk to me about your experience? @TheACPRC @ACPRCEducation

A plea for help! Fairly last minute I’ve been asked to write a 12 week respiratory physiotherapist undergraduate module for a university. Does anyone have any information they can share with me e.g rough content, recommended articles, course structure? 😬🙏

Up at 4.00am to make myself a cup of tea. The absence of clacking paws on the kitchen floor is deafening. No friendly nose nudge. Nothing. Reading more of your messages is releasing more tears but also curiously comforting. I am so broken right now.

Two months of planning = a hugely important session for 2nd year physios @UoSotonPT - connecting with patients and relatives respectfully and with kindness. Facilitated and masterminded by @JKileff and wonderful @RhiannonJoslin @ThackrayD and SimComms Carrie Hamilton.

Really enjoyed today’s simulation sessions from @SimComm_Academy! 😁 Really helpful to practice having those more difficult conversations in a safe space, also learning from watching what my peers do & say too. Thank you @JKileff @ThackrayD @RhiannonJoslin 🙏🏼👏🏼

It’s been a week of constant experimenting, learning and reflection .. but not necessarily in that order. We need to do more of this @theRCOT we look forward to the results of the research and hope to influence change @HSciences

@JessBlakeOT There are you tube sound recordings of wards - perhaps you could listen to these to help desensitise yourself?

I love my new role on the stroke ward, but I wanted to ask for any top tips to manage overstimulation (noise, lights, people, etc.) in hospital settings. Will I get used to it? Are earplugs acceptable?! Wondering how this impacts patients too...
