Would the Siege community be interested in an official (presented by Ubisoft) established Womens/MG circuit in NA & EU? Its really only been small tournaments up till now...

XGS

After a thorough investigation, the team at XGS has enough evidence to support the fact that player mousetrapjon has been utilizing a DMA device in XGS qualifiers. Due to this, him and his team (Console Rankers) will receive a permanent ban from Xenon Gaming Series, TPL and The Crucible going forward. In the investigation, the team was able to identify a PCI-E Device directly linked to DMA devices and no other use cases.

@ThatBattery @XenonGamingGG @ArchitectR6 Then make it optional. If the player doesn’t want to then they don’t have to but then they FF or DQ. If a player agrees then there is no security risk because both parties mutually agree. CL and element do pc checks but yours doesn’t ? Make it make sense.

@iFightir @XenonGamingGG @ArchitectR6 If you would like to talk about this matter in a formal discussion my DMs are open for it. However, we have not issued a PC check as this is an invasion of privacy and a security concern for players, as stated previously

While that is understandable, you disqualifying a team off not being able to facilitate a pc check then picking to issue a check when you can is not ideal. If you don’t have the proper resources to run a league with a voluntary staff then delay the start or qualifiers until you have them. This is the exact reason why people hate the T3/T4 tournament organizers. Your inability to have proper things in place shouldn’t fall on the player ever. If you need more help make more post, I’m sure people in the comm are willing to improve the scene if you allow them.

Most people don’t understand how much organizers like Zae and Battery put into their projects. It is hundreds of hours and thousands of $. The amount of bs these guys get while running events is insane. Anyone giving these guys flak should go try to run an event, you’ll learn.

I want to step in here and give my two cents on the matter. I understand your frustration but I also think it's important to clarify some things. From all my conversations with Andrew, there was never any intent to make a profit off a partner/sponsor. Rather, the money would directly go to ensuring that previously volunteer tournament staff and production are compensated for their work. I can confidently say that he's not out to steal from people. He's just trying to get people paid. If there's one thing I hope the community can take away from this, it's this: T3 events are NOT ran for profit. I've been involved in running T3 leagues for 6 years at this point, starting with SFCL. I have seen the end of CCS, EPS, ESA, RSA, SCS... you fucking name it. The bottom line? None of those events profited and most, if not all, ran on a budget deficit. If it weren't for Generation Esports sponsoring SFCL, it would have been a dead project in 2021. GenE gave us a total of $37,000 to run community events and we ran 3 seasons total with a $5,000 prizepool. The rest of the money? Every single cent went into compensating the production staff. The rates were, frankly, not great, but we tried pulling in as much as possible to pay them. What Andrew is trying to do is no different. For @TheCrucibleGG , we LOST $10,000 in production costs + prizepool alone, and even then, the entire production crew was volunteer. Was The Crucible a sustainable project? Absolutely not, but it was a passion project that @RoyalAzyn and I wanted to share with the community and players. @XenonGamingGG is a passion project too, one that's been running since 2022. And while there have been many hardships and lessons learned along the way (it's certainly not perfect), Andrew has figured out how to run the project year after year without burning out. All the while, he's finishing his bachelor's degree, pursuing a career as a professional observer in the NAL and international events, and still working at his part-time job through all of it. Andrew and all of his volunteers are putting in a big chunk of their spare time to make this happen. The point of XGS isn't to make a profit. The point is to be an initiative for the community.

@ThatBattery @ZaeOnProd fair enough. I 100% understand reinvesting to go all in on S1 for the future. Tbh i feel like uve gotten more flack than u should only because most TOs arent big media faces in the comm so ppl are naturally less trusting.

@SINOTWTCH @XenonGamingGG He also demanded $12,000USD for an org to partner with them as (production cost) when the staff are voluntarily. It’s about the money.

@ZaeOnProd this feels less like adressing the problems the community has had, and more like a Battery love letter siege is in year 10, everyone is doing this in their spare time. Side note, how was $10k lost when having a fully volunteer production staff? the math aint mathin

Thanks for leading the team in scoring post Olympic break & helping the team make a remarkable playoff push, Matvei. We’re gonna give you 10 minutes a night, barely any PP time & a few health bombs in the playoffs & wonder why you’re playing with no confidence out there.
