My son, Canon, was born early at 25 weeks and lived for 5 weeks through various crushing challenges. We were told at the 30 week mark that we were going to be able to take him home, that his health was in great shape. He died three days later. God was with us the whole time.

@LukeFHan That’s proper exegesis, Luke. Looking at WHY Paul says a woman cannot hold authority over a man. He doesn’t appeal to culture. If so, that standard could change. He appeals to the creation order and the fall. He doubly roots male leadership in those things OUTSIDE of culture.

@LukeFHan 2/2 Your church is now only a couple of decades away from embracing homosexuality historically speaking. The people who disagree with Paul in 1 Timothy use the same logic to disagree with him in Romans 1. What will you do when that day comes?

@LukeFHan 1/2 You said your church was rejecting Paul’s teaching and were glad they were doing so. Sure, liberal scholars have a problem with Paul. They appeal to a cult for context even though Paul appeals to both the creation and the fall for his teaching, not culture or a cult.

@ThatGoldenChain @Mormonger Alright, let's try this. Heaven & hell are heuristics. There's lots of gray area, which is alluded to in 1 Cor 15:40. Anything north of the darkest pit of hell can only be accomplished by God's grace. That applies to pretty much everyone. We all have some glory of Jesus in us.

The fact that the Roman Catholic Church is able to allegedly infallibly interpret the Bible, and yet we have never received a full infallible interpretation for even as much as a single chapter of scripture for roughly 2000 years, is insane.
