This isn’t real, right? This is a bot or Russian propaganda, right?! Even if it is, will any MAGA’s rebuke him?

@FanJDVance I would say: no. The future of our country is too important. It is not wonderful if Trump had sex with a lot of children, but as Christians, we need to forgive. And it is good that he is the president, yes, even if he rapes women and girls.

Before you believe the devastating fires in my community are about anything but climate change: 1. This is the driest winter in SoCal since 1964. 2. Typically in December we get 3.5” of rain. This December? 0.02”. 3. The force of these Santa Ana winds is “historic.”

Pardoning your own son is a move out of the Trump playbook. Disappointing.

Last week I had sat down with @imdfrnt of ChurchDropout podcast to talk about the election, Christian Nationalism, and the church's response/culpability. Allen is a phenomenal interviewer. I hope you watch. youtu.be/hYxaXruZUF4?si…

Here's what's making me smile this morning: new Christians in our church helping non-Christians who have shown up to explore. Lots of "I was where you are & this is how Jesus changed everything" or "I'm reading the Bible for the first time, do you want to join me?" It's so great.

@viasat you're about to be put out of business by starlink. Tried to ask for a rate match but you're uninterested. You were warned.

@ThatShaneB @ferrismattic No, I meant an argument for both sides. Second sentence referred to paedo, which I studied to determine my belief on it later in life.

I consider baptism an important, but secondary to the gospel issue. However, I think it is not unfair to the paedobaptist position to say that it relies a good bit on church history. "You really think the church has been wrong on this for so many hundred years?" The biblical evidence is by inference and analogy only. There are no NT examples to cite. (I recognize paedobaptists believe the scriptural data supports them.) The credobaptist, however, can point to examples of baptism following belief. Yes, infant baptism has a long pedigree in church history, but as I am wont to say, church history is descriptive, not prescriptive.

@ferrismattic Credobaptism makes sense in a NT context, when an entire generation were converts. I became convinced by the passages that refer to a household being baptized, infants and children would have been included. Scot McKnight's It Takes A Church To Baptize was helpful for me here.

I still love my locally-roasted coffee and plan to buy it forever — but sadly, I’m also needing to switch to decaf by late morning. My local options are slim… anyone have a good decaf coffee brand they love? ☕️
