The majority of stock prices are so inflated past their companies actual material values that speculation is literally the single biggest mover in today’s market…
And nothing creates more speculation than the words of @POTUS

Its highest point since the war began, before retreating to $108 following statements from Trump and Netanyahu that appeared to signal possible de-escalation.
The S&P 500 still closed 0.3% lower.

🇫🇷🇱🇧 France announced it'll double humanitarian aid to Lebanon to ~$20M while FM Barrot visits Beirut, pushing for a ceasefire. Their envoy says it's "unreasonable" to expect Lebanon's gov to disarm Hezbollah while Israel is bombing. Israel's response? "Too little, too late." They want Hezbollah gone but see Beirut as too weak/scared to act without sparking civil war. France's cash looks like a band-aid on a bullet wound. Aid helps civilians, sure, but it doesn't touch the root: Hezbollah's arsenal and Iran's grip. This feels more like diplomatic theater than a real path to peace.
