@NHLRumourReport This situation was never hard to understand. He obviously wants to be in Toronto and win there. The guy has signed multiple contracts and accepted the C for a reason. But also is too old to go through a full rebuild now and will move on if the team does.

*if* you ever want to trade Matthews, do it after you fire Berube and play him like the top star he is. He might not hit 60+ again, but he can hit 50+ next year. Value will go up even more. That Berube usage is a killer. Stats down almost 40% since he became coach.
