What’s one piece of life advice you believe that would have people doing this?

There’s a niche of retired blue collar millionaires who treat TikTok Live like it’s CNBC every morning. Cowboy hats. Polos. Unsolicited tax advice. I can’t look away. I’m obsessed.

We’ve hit the point where consumers don’t actually own anything they buy. And I’m not just talking about phones or laptops. This goes all the way to tractors. Farmers—who literally feed us—aren’t allowed to fix their own equipment. Even if they bought it outright. Companies claim the software inside is protected by intellectual property laws, so farmers don’t fully “own” what they paid for. That means if something breaks, they either have to go through an authorized dealer or risk bricking the machine. This is what the Right to Repair movement is really about. It’s not just about swapping a battery in your iPhone. It’s about fighting for control over the stuff we rely on every day. We’re not owners anymore. We’re leasing everything. And it can all be shut off without warning.

This isn’t just about one intro sequence. It’s about an industry quietly remaking itself and hoping no one notices until it’s too late. AI in Hollywood isn’t the future. It’s the secret present.

I’m not saying studios shouldn’t use AI. But if they are, just be honest about it. Credit the tools. Credit the people. Don’t act like the magic just appeared out of nowhere. Right now, it’s all quiet tests and plausible deniability. That’s the problem.

Now, I’m not anti-AI in Hollywood. The cat’s out of the bag and it’s not going back in. Plus, used well, AI can fit into the creative process. And honestly, it already does. What I’m against is how it’s being done.

Artists aren’t just upset by how it looks. They’re worried about what it means. Jobs aren’t disappearing overnight, they’re being laundered. Studios generate a rough version with AI, then hire someone to “clean it up” at the end, for less pay.

When Marvel used AI to generate the opening credits of Secret Invasion, they called it “explorative and inevitable.” The backlash was instant, but also revealing. Because this wasn’t just about one show. It was about a shift already happening behind the scenes.

Studios are already using AI to: – Design costumes – Storyboard scenes – Simulate explosions – Clone voices – Generate entire trailers But they won’t admit it. Why? Unions, lawsuits, optics.
