Sudu Venam was a drug dealer convicted of murdering his roommate at two separate trials. He was the last person seen with the victim. He had recently purchased a gun, which he initially denied buying to investigators. However, in his second trial (1988 retrial), he testified and admitted to purchasing a .25-caliber pistol from O'Connell, but claimed the purchase happened after the victim went missing. The conviction was overturned recently by a judge, and the liberal DA refused to bring the case again, likely because most of the witnesses had passed away. Disgusting that he's allowed to remain in the country.
