Almost a month into my sobriety journey and I’m feeling unstoppable. My mental clarity is on another level. I’ve tapped into my intuition in ways I never thought possible. Just secured another $1,000,000 win and I’m grateful for it. 4th place still feels like a victory. Everything is falling into place. Big things are on the horizon. Thanks for being part of the joirney. 🦍💪🏻

@jeremyausmus I think this is a correlation not a causation thing. Focusing on grip strength as a workout seems silly. It just so happens that old people with good grip strength typically have a good amount of lean muscle mass.

Grip strength is strongly correlated to longevity so seems like a worthwhile metric to focus on. My first dead hang time was 65 seconds, which seems pretty weak to me. I'm working towards improving this, doing some hanging every day, at least 90 seconds (broken up) for now and will gradually go longer. Anyone know if this is the best way to go about it or are there specific exercises I should do?

Mike, Everytime something happens you tell people "I told everyone ". Not only did you not tell everyone, but you also tried opening up a cardroom in Texas (massive failure btw). Your record for actually betting on events is horrendous. I even offered to wager you if the club reopens, which you refused. I understand you may not like Doug, or like the fact that another cardroom that you had no affiliation with was successful, but your post is just moronic.

I hate that this happened but everyone knew Texas law was and is! I repeated many times on my podcast that running massive raked tourneys plus being a big name promoting them was would bring unwanted attention to the club, which it obviously did! 🙏🏻 things work out but I truly doubt they’ll be able to reopen! There’s a reason they called all the rooms in Texas Social clubs!

As an investor in the @LodgePokerATX, friend of @DougPolkVids and others involved, I am deeply saddened by the closure. The lodge is a fantastic place for people to socialize, get a good meal, and of course play poker! I have full confidence this situation will soon be behind the lodge and I look forward to the reopen. The staff is almost without exception, phenomenal. My heart goes out to them during this tough time. 🙏

We know our loyal staff, members, and followers have been anxiously waiting for an update regarding the recent events that led to the closure of the club. We recognize that the closure has had a serious impact for many. More than 200 staff members rely on The Lodge for their livelihoods, and many of our members have funds tied up in chips or pending tournament payouts. We understand the concern and frustration and we want everyone to know that it is not being taken lightly. As much as we would like to provide a detailed update, we are unable to do so at this time because, despite our legal team’s best efforts to obtain additional information from the authorities, very little information has been made available. What we do know is that no charges have been filed, and we remain committed to cooperating fully so that any concerns can be addressed. At the same time, we can confirm that all of the club’s assets and bank accounts have been frozen. In addition, we have been told not to re-open until the investigation concludes. The Lodge has always taken its obligation to operate lawfully very seriously. The leadership team is committed to ensuring that The Lodge operates transparently, responsibly, and in good faith within Texas law by emphasizing strengthened oversight and continued improvement of operations. Unfortunately, we do not know how long this process will take or when we will be allowed to operate again. We obviously believe that the longer our doors remain closed, the greater the impact becomes — not just on the business itself, but on the hundreds of staff members, vendors, partners, and community members who rely on The Lodge every day. Your continued support of The Lodge — its traditions, its staff, and the community that exists inside these walls — means the world to us. We are upset and frustrated by the disruption this has caused and remain hopeful that we will be able to work constructively and with the authorities in a very timely manner so that we can move forward and reopen our doors. All we can do at the moment is to promise to share more information as soon as we are able. In the meantime, if The Lodge has meant something to you — as a place to play, work, or build friendships — we encourage you to share your support in the comments. Hearing from this community means more to our staff and leadership team than we can put into words.

TBH though I am overall not into the finished product . It’s hard to show you guys what you want to see on camera and I wish I could solve for that in some way

@JasonKoon "...it will take weeks to feel normal again". You're a fit, young guy who's flying over in a lie-flat airplane seat! Maybe a day or two to get accustomed to the time change and jet lag, but come on man! 😆 🤣

Triton Jeju is around the corner and I always have mixed feelings about going over there. I know I’m about to diabolically destroy my sleep, put my physical health on hold, and blow up my adrenal system. It’ll take weeks to feel normal again. Even after the event I’ll still be dealing with emotional and physical fatigue… dopamine withdrawal included. Maybe we’re all a little sick for doing it. At this stage of my life, I don’t need to anymore. But there’s something about walking down that hallway, completely exhausted, knowing you have to pull every last mental and physical resource out of yourself to show up and close a final table. You sit down against some of the greatest talent the game has ever seen, and it’s on you. When it's all on the line do you still have what it takes? If you fuck it up, it’s yours to own. Me vs. Me. My non-poker friends often ask why I still do it. That’s the answer.

The tracking device on me wasn't an AirTag. After the police helped me open it up, it turned out to be a Pod with the speaker removed — so when I tried to play a sound from my iPhone, there wouldn't be any audio alert at all. Whoever did this was pretty professional.

Three days ago my phone warned me about an unknown tracking device nearby. I ignored it. Today I popped my hood and found this. I'm Wesley — poker player and crypto trader. I've always known I'm a target. But finding a tracker hidden in your own car hits different. @LAPDCentral @LAPDHQ @FBI Police report filed. PSA to everyone in poker and crypto: Don't ignore those "unknown device" alerts on your phone. Check your car — hood, undercarriage, wheel wells. Stay dangerous, stay safe.

Three years ago, I graduated college with a finance degree, no roadmap, and a feeling I couldn’t ignore: I wasn’t ready to settle for the traditional corporate path — I wanted to bet on myself and test my luck. I introduced myself to @TheRyanFeldman and shared my conviction that I could elevate and solidify something truly different — a social-first poker show centered on a game of skill and competition that connects people from around the world. Ryan took a chance on me. I had no production experience and a résumé filled mostly with internships and college courses, but I had a fire within me that he believed in. 700+ live streams later, including three $1M games, we helped produce some of the most iconic moments in poker. I met incredible players, my soccer idol Neymar, and connected with entrepreneurs and creatives from across the world. I was fortunate to work alongside world-class dealers and an elite production team that felt more like family than coworkers. The long nights, the pressure, and the responsibility shaped me in ways I’ll always value. I even had the chance to play on the show a handful of times and host my own game, a true full-circle moment. From watching my favorite players battle from my college dorm room to testing my own luck on the felt — it’s something I’ll never take for granted. Last week, I stepped away from my role as Director of @HCLPokerShow. I’ve moved to NYC to pursue a long-standing goal — living on the East Coast and discovering what this next chapter demands of me. I’ll continue managing HCL’s social platforms and remain involved in a new capacity, but my time in the director’s chair has come to a close. HCL is in great hands. Ryan has been an incredible role model — someone whose dedication and leadership I aspire to emulate. He’s built a team I have full confidence will continue to execute at the highest level. This chapter reinforced something I’ll carry with me forever: You don’t need the perfect resume. You need the courage to step forward before you feel ready — and the discipline to earn the opportunity once you get it. In an industry fueled by money, fame, and illusion, staying grounded is the real edge. It’s a bittersweet goodbye, but growth requires movement. I’ll always be grateful for this chapter, and I’ll keep betting on myself as I step into the next one. ♠️
