When I was building spacecraft, one of our engineers would stand behind us while we were laying wire harnesses and read from the Bible. We would sometimes pray before a large operation. He brought his Bible into the cleanroom and privately prayed over a vehicle before we sent it into test. I'm pretty sure he prayed over the Orion that is being flown on Artemis II as well. I knew a gay couple down in Texas; Friends of mine - we played tabletop games together. They vanished one day about 6 years ago and my son told me they’d fled Texas for Illinois because they “didn’t feel safe”. So I did a quick search and Illinois has significantly more homophobic attacks than Texas. Both per capita and absolute. I hope they are okay but man it’s a curse to rely on propaganda instead of facts when making decisions.

Vancouver Washington is in a full-blown homeless crisis. I credited them for having the highest concentration of camps in the entire state of Washington. I spent a lot of time in the city and very rarely encounter outreach workers.
