Regarding the Whitmer Stevens endorsement, here’s what the governor had to say Tuesday morning on the U.S. Senate primary:

Whitmer, who was noncommittal about weighing in on the race earlier this week and said she didn’t like the party infighting, endorses.

A source just confirmed to me that Michigan GOP Gubernatorial Candidate, Rep. John James, will appear with President Trump at the GM facility in Milford. Previous reports had suggested Trump was to campaign with James, though the event is being put on by the WH, not campaign.

The Stevens campaign just sent out a press release meant to look like a release from El-Sayed's campaign - claiming Mike Rogers has endorsed El-Sayed.

Stephanie Chatfield, the wife of former Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield, has been sentenced Monday, July 20 on an embezzlement charge after pleading guilty in relation to a non-profit. The Attorney General's Office announced that Stephanie Chatfield, 38, of Levering, has been sentenced to six months’ probation, 25 hours of community service and a fine of $2,000.
