It has a massive detrimental flaw and thats the HUGE censorship of fascism and military violence that arakawa put years into researching for the manga only to have scenes she herself said were required to understand the context of the world and story entirely removed.

FMAB may not be my favorite anime OAT but I think it's as close to a perfect anime as you can probably get. The show doesn't really have any detrimental flaws if we are being honest.
