We have had a wonderful weekend celebrating the retirement of our Executive Director, Ray. As a lasting tribute, and with support from our Board of Trustees, we are thrilled to announce that our main auditorium will now be known as ‘The Ray Spencer Theatre’ at The Customs House.

Shows I will never forget. 3 celebRAYtions for @rayspencermbe at @thecustomshouse after pouring his life into the place for 25 years. He'll never know how many people he's helped or lives he's changed by giving them a chance (me too!) And he's still working- Mother Goose 24/25!!

Not all of the visitors to @thecustomshouse love the building as much as we do! Being targeted by gangs of youths is becoming an increasing problem for the venue. Ironically repairs to the building reduces the funds we have available to work with Young People! #PleaseStop!

I had a family meal at Dame Bella’s @thecustomshouse today. One of the best Sunday Roasts I can remember having along with a beautiful sweet to finish. Huge portions and fantastic value. Well worth giving it a try.

Yes it’s True I am stepping down from Executive Director post @thecustomshouse WEF 31/3/2024. I first worked there in 1995 I still had hair & a waist. I was overjoyed to be appointed as Director in 1999. It amazes me that we do so much in a building with so many constraints
