You won't hear a peep about this from Farage, Tice or Jenrick. Under the Tories, up to 400 hotels were being used to house asylum seekers. With Labour, there are now just 185, with 11 more hotels re-opening to the public, saving the taxpayer £65 million a year.

Just for those asking about the Odsal Stadium floodlights. I spoke to a member of staff from Sky Sports who confirmed the following; because the cameras are looking right down on the new LED boards around the pitch, the brightness from these boards is affecting the cameras. So Sky Sports have requested for the LED boards to be dimmed as much as possible whilst also dimming their cameras which then makes the broadcast look dark to viewers. I can confirm that it’s not as dark in the ground as it looks on the television screens at home.

Morning from Westminster! From today, the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage are rising. We’re cutting energy bills by an average of £117 a year. And we’re freezing prescription prices. We’re putting more money in your pocket.

@TallyCat8 @peterkyle So looking at some information. Employers NI increased from 13.8 to 15%. Threshold reduced from 9100 to 5000. Employment allowance increased from 5000 to 10500. So the 5500 gift is somewhat reduced by the first two figures I mentioned. Not changing last year to this.

@TheDemonUK @peterkyle Massive? What assessment do you make of the increase in Employment Allowance to offset employee NI rises? Try not to dodge this question.

@TallyCat8 @peterkyle You give yours one, above inflation welfare rises. No more two child cap. The point actually was pop out a sprog or two more and the minimum wage won't be worth taking. Benefits covers everything they need.

@TheDemonUK @peterkyle How does one get the minimum wage if you don't work? How do parents get to work without a bit of help given the extortionate childcare costs of today? Basically you want parents to stay at home whilst simultaneously doing jobs for very low pay. Give your head a wobble.
