@QuartzN1nja I don't expect 100% on red. I don't expect 50% on blue either.

@LogicReel @cremieuxrecueil @mfacehero I mean, yeah. But people would still vote blue, right? So trying to save those at a ratio that seems extremely unlikely to reach would be suicide. 50% looks like suicide to a lot of red. Lot of blue says red has blood on their hands. The same would be true at any percent, right?

Red and blue button pushers: who's smarter? In a mostly-subscriber sample who took a brief verbal IQ test, the answer is... Blue pushers! If the whole population has an IQ of 100 with an SD of 15, their mean IQ would be 101.9, versus 97.0 for reds.

@KitsuneroVT No idea but I find it funny so many red button pushes were crashing out about blue winning. Like was that not the best case scenario?

@KitsuneroVT Blue button pushers don't realize they're red button pushers if the ratio goes up. The ones who cry about morality suddenly have to recognize that the suicide button is a suicide button.

the red button blue button thing is so interesting to me because it really is just a litmus test for if you have any empathy or not

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. When the vote over you will be assigned to a team of your select color then you will have to compete in deadgame for a reward Blue reward will be shared equally Red reward only for the winner

People who push the red button are the same kind of people who would hide they were bit by a zombie. Not exactly, but It's selfish preservation that condemns others to die for no reason if they successfully hide it. Its a direct choice to that. Blue means NOBODY loses. It goes to show how so many people would gladly pick something that benefits themselves at the loss of others over the SAME benefit to everyone, including themselves. For many reasons, distrust your fellow man will make the same choice, "I got mine" mentality, or just instinctual self preservation, etc.. Its a social morality experiment, there is no "right answer" but what you pick says alot about you.

@TheDiadochi @Petershearer89 @Serdizzle @rawsmashmouth It doesn't scare me at all. What scares me is all the red pushers who would happily condemn millions of children to death to save themselves. Also the irony of saying you can't trust other people while you make exact decision you're afraid they might make.

This! Absolutely this! Yes, blue doesn't have a guarantee to save your own life, but it can and will save everyones' life if even a fraction more press it. just slightly more red than blue guarantees that all of blue dies, but hey, at least your own was spared.
CinnamonToastKen@cinnamontoastk

This red button/blue button discourse is wild. 100% red saves everyone no consequence 51% of blue saves everyone no consequence 51% red kills all of blue but they frame it like its blues fault they had to kill them even though red is the only choice that causes anyone to die.

@TheDiadochi @suskullaonasiaa @Quasilocal Well, lets say youre a father and your daughter says pressing blue is the right thing to do because of infants / disabled / her friend said shes pressing blue? You could try to convince her, but there's doubt. Lots of people will take risk if family is in doubt.

Roughly it's like this right? Red button: "I don't think blue would come close to 50% in the real world" (So I can't safely press it) Blue button: "I feel confident in my fellow human to do the right thing and blue will win" (so it's safe to press blue)
