@GMB Yes, dogs are family too! When I say I have to take my dog to the vets during working hours, work is not as understanding as they are for those that say they have to take their child to the doctors. However, often vets don’t have late appointments so it’s a necessity.

A study has found 4 in 10 pet owners believe they shouldn't have to book annual leave to take their sick animal to the vet and some are calling for an allowance of pet-ternity leave if their animal has a litter. Should pet owners have the same rights as parents?
