You’re so confused on so many levels. First, let’s unpack the difference between worship & veneration. Catholics do not worship Mary. Worship belongs to God alone. But Scripture itself says all generations will call Mary blessed: “All generations will call me blessed.” — Luke 1:48 Mary is not honored instead of Christ; she is honored because of Christ. Her greatness is entirely derivative: She is the masterpiece of His grace. And yes, Mary is the New Ark. The old Ark carried the Word of God, the manna, and Aaron’s priestly rod. Mary carried the Word made flesh, the true Bread from Heaven, and the eternal High Priest. That is not “invented worship”; that is biblical fulfillment. Jesus is our Savior, refuge, and Redeemer. Catholics affirm that completely. But God often gives refuge through His chosen instruments. The Ark saved Noah’s family. Moses mediated deliverance. The Church is called the household of God. None of that competes with God. Finally, you saying Mary “would be in hell” without Christ is a crude way of stating something Catholics already believe: Mary was saved by Christ. The difference is that Catholics believe she was saved more perfectly—preserved from sin by the merits of Christ in anticipation of His death and resurrection. So the Catholic answer is: Mary is not a goddess. Mary is not a rival. Mary is not worshiped. She is the Mother of God, the New Ark of the Covenant, the first and most perfect fruit of Christ’s redemption. Calling her blessed is not idolatry. It is obedience to Scripture.
