@YesterdaysBrit1 A Summer job I had at a light engineering firm involved me sending a telex (no really) and processing the time cards. Red ink twice = loss of good time keeping bonus. Data entry. Print the payslips and the money order for Securicor. Wasn’t allowed anywhere near the cash

Attention Scum (2001). Quite a comedy curio, Simon Munnery leads The League Against Tedium: travelling the country in a Ford Transit van on a mission "to discover England and confuse it". Munnery was an Edinburgh festival regular and had already done two shows for UKTV digital channels: Futurtv and the quiz show Either/Or. In 2001 Stewart Lee directed Attention Scum for BBC2, and though it was nominated for a Golden Rose of Montreux award a second series was not commissioned. It's quite a time capsule of Millennium culture in the UK: acerbic, surreal, open to being too self-consciously clever. PoMo on a budget and buried in the twilight of the schedules it's certainly different!

@KieranMaguire The first time I encountered the concept of the big six was in relation to The Premier League rights contracts. There are limits on the number of games involving these teams being shown live. I think it’s quite a subjective judgement about who is in the 6

Is there really a 'Big Six' in the Premier League, or is it a modern myth? Calculated the wages of all clubs for all years and adjusted for football inflation (current purchasing power). The top 114 adjusted wages paid since 1992/93 only involve five clubs, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool. Spurs do not appear until 119th.
