After sleeping on it, here’s the spinzone… We have only lost 3 away/semi-away games all year. UConn at MSG, at MSU (OT), at UCLA (OT) UNC in Greenville and Houston in Houston is just what the doctor ordered. …and then revenge vs. Florida for the secret scrimmage in Orlando.

You said “Top seeds 1-4 from the same conference can’t play each other until the sweet 16”. I cited the NCAA Tournament committee themselves disproving your “theory”. You still can’t produce a single source verifying your claim. Nebraska was a 4-seed though, congrats. Still doesn’t prove your theory correct, but would’ve loved to have seen the rest of your bracket.

This morning’s bracketology update prior to any games being played. For now, still have us in STL, but am a little worried that the committee may have the bracket set prior to today’s BTT Championship game…and if they’re hedging their bets on the outcome, they could have already slotted Purdue in St. Louis which would bump the Illini to either Buffalo or Greenville. Buffalo and Greenville are similar distances from Champaign. Would guess they’d send us to Buffalo given that it’s a little closer and would allow them send UVA to Greenville. Monitoring another possible seed line shift that could shake things up if Vanderbilt wins the SEC tournament today. Could see them jump up to a 3-seed and bump Nebraska to a 4-seed. That would resolve some of the complications of 3 Big Ten teams on the 3-seed line. Best guesses for potential Illini matchups in order of likelihood… First Round (14-seeds): Kennesaw St. or Wright St. Second Round (6-seeds): Louisville or BYU Sweet 16 (2-seeds): Iowa St. or Houston

@TheFieldPass Top seeds 1-4 from the same conference can’t play each other until the sweet 16. Committee will adjust seeds to prevent this from happening. This MSU and Nebraska (isn’t a 3 anyway) can’t be where you have them.

@TheFieldPass If you don’t know the bracket rule restrictions of seeds within conferences, you have no business putting a bracket out there. This is useless.

It’s possible. By distance in miles from Champaign: Buffalo - 569 Greenville - 589 OKC - 661 The difference there is negligible enough that the committee could choose any of the 3 sites. However, Houston will get an OKC pod and would think they’d most likely want to save the other one for Nebraska since that’s their preferred location by a long shot (given that St. Louis will be filled).
