@Janemo0m @Martial_Glory @Baconsarni1 If your partner is telling you a part of your culture is pointless and doesn't want any kids you have to learn your own language that seems a perfectly legitimate reason to end it Imagine you started dating a frenchman and they said they wouldn't let your kids speak English?

English Nationalists will find this insane of me to say, but Welsh Nationalists will understand. I would rather (and its not even close) be told "In the future, Wales will be mostly mixed race, mixed religion but more Welsh speaking than it is now" Than "Wales will be almost entirely white, entirely Christian/secular, but sadly the Welsh language will go extinct". The second one, is unthinkable to me. If someone gave me the option of DYING but my language grows, I would take it. And that is not an extreme position to most Welsh Nationalists.

@Belisariusiv @PenKembero @lukerobertblack They are quite literally as we speak going absolutely mental about a traditional Welsh naming convention... Never mind the conniption fits we have seen over the past few years at the reclaiming of Welsh Names for Yr Wyddfa and Bannau Brycheiniog

@mimikkiki @JacCymro1400 If you loved us you wouldn't have spent the last few days on twitter being such a monumentally disrespectful cunt about our language and culture. You're just a dickhead mate, a dickhead who's opinion is welcome or wanted. Stay in your fucking lane.

@gwaanpelican @albrookshawAFC Because they were scoring more before the grappling came in. Everyone forgets the physicality didn't start with Arsenal. It started in response to defend the set pieces of Arsenal and others. Arteta just doubled down on it after it was clear it was going to be allowed

@albrookshawAFC Defenders that can only score from corners by fouling everyone? Why would they suddenly score more if they weren’t allowed to foul everyone?

@JoshAirey88 @KaskaJessica Lend lease wasn't signed until nearly a year after the battle of Britain.... At that point in the the war it was just trade, and they were making a tidy sum out of us. It certainly wasn't charity

@KaskaJessica We didn't get any direct military support from the US until after Pearl Harbour, correct, but they did still provide oil, food and weapons to us and other nations. It was called the Lend Lease Act. They saved our arses, just not in the way they love to brag about.

@DailyRedDevils1 @simondale11 No, of course they do. But to hold them accountable for a GLOBAL economic crisis triggered by the failure of American banks is foolish. The current energy secretary has an impact on our bills. But you wouldn't hold them accountable for the current oil price would you?

@DailyRedDevils1 @simondale11 Again. The root cause of the 2008 financial crash was AMERICAN banks. All the above is irrelevant because it's not in America. And it was the shock of the American banks imploding that caused the Domino effect everywhere else. Including here

@TheFordmister @simondale11 Not his responsibility? he only; - ran the economy for 10 yrs - thought banks were regulated enough - handed out titles to city chums - announced he was selling gold at rock bottom prices so his pals could buy low - bailed out banks/EU. No bailout for people losing jobs/homes!

@AbolishWestmin Tbf it is a tricky one, as much as I dislike Gwlad we do need a right wing pro independence alternative to plaid. The issue isn't that Gwlad exists but that it's so poorly run it can't take advantage of the discontent at all and let reform become the RW alternative.

Plaid Cymru fell just 141 votes short of winning a fourth seat in Sir Gaerfyrddin (Carmarthenshire). The final seat went to Reform UK instead, making it Plaid 3, Reform UK 3. Gwlad secured 327 votes there in total. What a pointless, damaging, Reform UK-enabling party. FFS!!!
Ifan Morgan Jones@ifanmj

One concern for Plaid Cymru might be that they're not winning the 4th seat in the 'Fro Gymraeg' seats as expected if they were doing well. But overperforming in the valleys #Senedd2026

@DailyRedDevils1 @simondale11 Given the root cause of the 2008 financial crash is American fiscal policy it's a very odd hill to die on to suggest a UK prime minister bears responsibility. Would be like Blaming Starmer for the economic difficulties caused by trumps war on Iran.

@simondale11 He was the Chancellor running the economy for the decade leading to the economic crash who claimed he “ended boom and bust”. If you give him credit for the recovery you also have acknowledge that he should take responsibility for economic policies that led to the crash too

@Hate__Not__Hope @tompainebones Oh do fuck off mate, Wales is the least diverse bit of the UK. It's 92% white British and most of the remaining 8% are other white identities. We don't have the economic pull factors to deal with high immigration.

@tompainebones Why not mass import countless third worlders, accommodate them in hotels, mark up the expenses 1000%, and send the bill to London for British taxpayers to foot? Oh wait ... is that what Plaid planned all along? 🤔

The biggest task for Plaid Cymru is finding ways to make Wales more affluent, economy, economy, economy that's the only way to get those scared by independence on board with the idea. An affluent Wales after 2 terms of PC would be in a good position to go indy.

@johnmactravels @AndJamesRoberts Tbf it has it's advantages, I think the issue broadly is that no democratic system is without flaw. And it becomes a question about what do you want out of it Vs what flaws are you willing to tolerate

@Or1ginalSandman @_TightWadBill Not being funny, but Welsh football's unofficial anthem is Yma O Hyd. If you can sing that with all your chest and vote reform after you don't understand at least one of them. Because that song makes it very clear what its writer and those singing it think of parties like reform

@OMG_ITS_NDABA Well if we are leaving professionals to what they are paid to do the maybe Goode could do his own damn job and learn how the TMO system works. As opposed to endlessly repeating "french directors" despite it having nothing to do with what the TMO has access too...

"A fan" is actually a fair description, because at the end of the day he is just that, like the rest of us. How he ascended himself to being the moral authority on all things Rugby is beyond me. Just make your YouTube videos & let the professionals do what they're paid to do.

@Rdj18781 @AndyGoode10 no their impact is extremely limited. Again the TMO has access to EVERY camera feed and 99% of the time spot, call out and review things independently. with the director reacting to what the TMO is looking at and not the other way around.

@TheFordmister @AndyGoode10 So the directors have a massive impact on a game? You accept that then. Obviously a serious issue if they only show replays that favour their team then isn’t it. Actually makes the tournament a joke

Squidge Rugby@SquidgeRugby

Commentary on this game is basically Miles Harrison getting really excited about how great the game is then Goode & Dallagilo tediously complaining about innocuous refereeing decisions and it pretty neatly sums up what rugby discourse & discussion has become the last few years.

@Rdj18781 @AndyGoode10 If the ref and TMO dont see somehting then they dont see it. thats just how sport works The TMO has access to every feed. Its up to the match director to show the game. Not ref it. And is certiainly does not justify Goode spending an entire game moaning about a conspracy theory

@Rdj18781 @AndyGoode10 1. The TMO has an output feed. A lot of those are actually the TMO already looking at something and the broadcast realising there's something in it, so they put it up before an official check is called 2. TMO's are still capable of missing things live with access to all feeds
