Ay so LCOE is fine actually for fuel saving resources, but like you're gonna hit declining marginal returns at 40% solar and 50-60% wind and 70% combined. So it creates a "regime shift" at higher levels of clean the optimization flips aggressively from pure renewables to pure clean firm.

Arizona’s coal-to-gas transition is becoming a pipeline story. Energy Transfer’s Desert Southwest project could help enable ~1,600 MW of coal-fired capacity at Springerville and Coronado to convert to natural gas by 2030. The project would move up to 2.3 Bcf/d from the Permian Basin into Arizona.




Batteries have been tremendously successful in accelerating the race to zero on revenue...which also makes for a horrible business model. A significant number of batteries are going to make more money for their 2nd owners when they're sold for pennies on the dollar after some companies get liquidated in the next 3-5 years.
