@HashyaHan It's always the "I heard from someone that ..." misinformation campaign. "Using LORAs" sounds technical, until you realize that's what Glaze disrupts. So that is the same as saying Glaze doesn't work. Except the research papers (including those trying to attack Glaze) disagree.

@HashyaHan lol. Glaze specifically targets LORA training. So no, you can't use LORAs to get around Glaze. Nightshade is designed to affect whole model training, so again, using fine tuning to "get around" model tuning is nonsensical. Like saying you're fixing a car by walking.

@TheGlazeProject I wonder if you guys have something prepared for this, assuming you all already knew about it: People using LoRA to work around Glaze & Nightshade.

The only ones to claim it were goofballs who released an "antidote" before Nightshade itself was even released. Inside was some gpt-generated code that played w/ metadata.

Google is calling for UK copyright law to be changed to allow training AI models on copyrighted work without the need for a license. All British creators should oppose this. The creative industries account for 5% of UK GDP. @Rahll Before someone chimes in “but you can create more efficient code!” No you can’t. Assembly literally operates at machine level, moving data betw memory, registers and I/O, limited by physics. Compiled assembly is just binary bits. No fantasies here of machine talking to machine.

@Rahll 🤣 The funniest part is that his question demonstrates how little he actually understands code. We have "hyper efficient code" that is illegible to humans. It's called assembly code or machine code, and it's what legible code compiles down to. Literally year 1 intro to CS.

Why are people still acting like AI is magic? It's like when the Segway came out and they said, "Just think forward, and it goes forward!" and people lost their minds. Now only tourists and mall cops use them, and we all point and laugh.

Regular reminder that ChatGPT is not a search engine but a word-association machine that randomly puts words together based on probability. It cannot think, it does not know. Your best source for information remains books.

Call me crazy but I want a society where everyone from the artist to the janitor is paid a living wage, where careers and creative hobbies aren’t being stolen by machines, where books and music and learning are celebrated instead of demeaned.

Sadly no. We remain overwhelmed and most requests for webglaze accounts sit unanswered. Unfortunately my plans for student helpers did not work out. Students disappear during summer & have too many other commitments in general. We're trying to design & build a better alternative
