The searing contempt that the political media had/has for Joe Biden vis a vis how they treat Donald Trump is just so incredibly revealing. Biden was a completely normal guy. A decent guy. A competent president. They treated him like a piece of shit who deserved to be demeaned on the daily. Donald Trump is perhaps the worst person to ever serve in the US govt. He is a pathological liar. He is incompetent. Corrupt. Evil. And yet the political media seems to love him. He doesn't get 1/10th of the hatred that they reserved for Biden.

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death. Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty." Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed. "Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month. Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

A white male New York ‘Times’ employee filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging the paper had discriminated against him by not giving him a promotion because he is a white male. On Tuesday, the EEOC, now controlled by a Trump appointee who has vowed to help wage the president’s war against DEI culture, filed a civil-rights lawsuit against the ‘Times’ arguing that the paper’s efforts to satisfy its diversity goals amounted to “unlawful employment practices.” The paper itself was first to break the news of the suit but did not name the employee who made the complaint. Reporters at the paper have been scrambling to figure out the employee’s identity, driven in part by bafflement that one of their own colleagues would sell out the paper to the administration, which has used tools of the federal government to attack the press. “This has been kind of a shitshow behind the scenes — people trying to figure out who the aggrieved person is,” said another ‘Times’ staffer. The release of the complaint on Tuesday narrowed the speculation to Bryant Rousseau, a senior editor and producer on the ‘Times’’s international desk who has been with the paper for more than a decade. Super Mario, one of the most beloved video game characters of all time, was named after a real person. In 1981, when the character first appeared in Nintendo’s arcade hit Donkey Kong, he was simply called “Jumpman.” At the time, Nintendo of America was renting a warehouse in Tukwila, Washington, from a local landlord named Mario Segale. According to multiple accounts, Segale once showed up demanding overdue rent from Nintendo’s president, Minoru Arakawa. The tense exchange reportedly inspired the developers to rename their mustachioed hero after their no-nonsense Italian-American landlord. Segale’s short, stocky build and dark hair also perfectly matched the image Nintendo had in mind for the character. Years later, in a 1993 interview with The Seattle Times, Segale jokingly remarked, “You might say I’m still waiting for my royalty checks.” Mario Segale passed away in 2018 at the age of 84, but his name continues to live on through one of gaming’s most iconic figures.
