@ryanhammer09 Pacers will be back next year to end their season, so yes.

@Schultz975 These playoffs have been a constant reminder how much I miss the Pacers’ offense.

@bryce_spalding They were 20-11 and a week later I’m approaching full blown apathy. Only the Reds.

This isn’t a singular person issue either. There ain’t many, people playing winning baseball on the Reds side right now, period.
As ugly a stretch of Reds baseball I’ve watched in a long while and that’s saying a lot. Staring down losing 7 of 8 games and combined score currently stands in those 8 games (56 to 24).

@RedsDaily4 You couldn't script more horrific contracts than their last three at 3B (I'm not including Geno because he was signed largely as a DH. Moose, Candy, Hayes is the stuff of absolute nightmares and when you're a small market team, you simply cannot miss like this.

If we showed anyone these numbers alongside a .404 OPS, nobody would say this player deserves to be in the lineup every day. Nobody.
I do think the defense will improve over time and the OAA will look better by the end of the season, but right now, there’s simply no justification for the everyday playing time on a team that struggles so much offensively.
I didn’t love the trade when it happened, but like a lot of fans, I talked myself into it. I wanted it to work.
Now?
This has a real chance to go down as one of the worst trades in franchise history.

@RedsInFour Turns out the completely unsustainable start was indeed unsustainable.

@bryce_spalding @joel_wisecup We have a 35 game sample of him being awful. There’s just too many holes right now. They needed McLain and Stephenson to at least be average hitters, they’ve both been atrocious. Offense is completely reliant on the long ball because this lineup can’t string hits together.
English

@joel_wisecup @TheHerrm He had a 130 wRC+ the last like 14 games coming into tonight.

@bryce_spalding Offense is being propped up right now by Elly and two non-roster invites. The fundamental issues remain. There’s simply not enough offensive talent on this roster.

TJ Friedl hasn’t walked since April 12th - a span of 70 plate appearances. #Reds
