Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink?
Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color.
Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.”
SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most!
Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules.
Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope.
Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

@CebisaRise @Zanzamar555 @cb_doge You are now being left behind because the country runs on racist policies.
How do you not understand this after your people were wronged for generations due to the same policies negatively affecting them.
Now you want to do the same to others but you're righteous?
English

@Zanzamar555 @cb_doge He hasn't done anything for South Africa, we're not being left behind deep down you know that
So we take it as an insult to our country and all other foreign companies that operate in South Africa to break the rules just for free internet at school
Like really?

@russ_leman99083 You act like a parasite, but profess you're trying to remove them. You suffer from massive retardation. May God bless your low IQ with some serenity.

@yashar bbc.com/news/world-mid… such a serious matter. Planes using Arabian Gulf on in-flight monitors would be denied airspace. 🤦
You think this is one of the items on the negotiation table for peace to happen?

@RepYassAnsari I thought Democrats love to rename things? Schools, streets, military bases, sports team names. But geographical feature names? At least we know where your boundaries are, even though you don't believe in borders.
English

Last summer, I introduced the Persian Gulf Act after Trump threatened to rename it. Today, Pete Hegseth referred to it as the Arabian Gulf.
The Persian Gulf has been recognized as such by international bodies for centuries. Trump and Hegseth can’t change that now.

Pete Hegseth@PeteHegseth
USS Frank E. Peterson (DDG 121) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) transited the Strait of Hormuz and operated in the Arabian Gulf as part of a broader mission to ensure the strait is fully clear of sea mines previously laid by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

@AshishVats11745 @SecRubio Once you extricate your head from your anus, I wager your perspective of reality will improve. Brought us to our knees... Lol
English

@SecRubio You people couldn't achieve regime change, nor could you get the Strait of Hormuz reopened.
On top of that, today Iran has brought you to your knees and is forcing a deal strictly on its own terms.
From here,
the end of American hegemony is now certain.

Masoumeh Ebtekar - also known as "Screaming Mary" - was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days - subjecting them to beatings, starvation, and mock executions.
In 2014, the Obama Administration granted visas to her son and his family to enter the United States. In June 2016, the Obama Administration gave them lawful permanent resident status via the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.
This week, I terminated their lawful permanent resident status and today, Seyed Eissa Hashemi, Maryam Tahmasebi, and their son are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pending their removal from our country.
Her family should never have been allowed to benefit from the extraordinary privilege of living in our country.
America can never become home for anti-American terrorists or their families - and under the Trump Administration, it never will.
