KOGS calls for the immediate release of Dr. Obwaka. Holding a decorated medical practitioner without clear charges or bail is a violation of due process and an affront to the medical fraternity.
We stand with Dr. Obwaka and demand his immediate release from Muthaiga Police Station.

See how the state is treating a 83 year old doctor who has served the country diligently.
AND MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS ON THE BALLOT!

Some @kmpdu officials are busy in bed with Govt chanting tutam, as the state continues to rob payslips and arrest senior citizens and taint well decorated Dr.s as criminals.
#FREEDROBWAKA we meet on Monday and demand for his release.

@kmpdu @MiskellahMD @DrMundia @Davji @abimwachi @MOH_Kenya @TheIntern254 @daktari1 @KBCChannel1 @Tuko_co_ke @PeopleDailyKe Can we down our tools, next time it could be anyone of us, I have seen it almost happen with a county doctor. But then your masters would not be pleased🤦. We need leaders with principles, if doctors vote for this garbage again they'll have themselves to blame.

The #Union welcomes the engagement between the Ministry of Health and that of Education to resolve the matter of training of healthcare workers in the country. We must regulate the numbers to maintain quality and also only train cadres that are needed and recognised by the Ministry of Health.
As a Union, we have always believed that the health regulatory bodies must be mandated to supervise and regulate the institutions that train healthcare workers so that we do not end up with a situation that endangers the lives of Kenyans.
Thank you Waziri @HonAdenDuale for taking a lead role in this concern that we presented to your office less than one month ago.

🗓 We hosted Garissa County’s delegation today, led by H.E. Gov. @Nathif_J_Adam EGH, at our Blue Violet Plaza office.
A very productive meeting - and major wins for doctors in Garissa:
✔️ 20 doctors stuck in Job Group M will receive their Job Group Q letters by 17th Dec 2025.
✔️ All study-leave applicants released - 19 in postgraduate training, 6 in fellowships.
✔️ 19 contract doctors to be confirmed to PnP next year.
✔️ County moving ahead with hiring 8 new doctors this financial year.
✔️ Union dues to be remitted on time through coordination with KMPDU Finance.
✔️ KMPDU to make an official visit to Garissa this month.
We appreciate Garissa County’s proactive spirit and commitment to improving healthcare for its people.
