I'm delighted to have a new short story out at Mysterion! "Her Neighbor's Keeper" is a fantasy about fairy patches, a small world-within-a-terrarium, and how we love the people we live near. Read it here: mysteriononline.com/2024/04/her-ne… @EnigmaticMirror

So, for the past month or so, I've been *greatly* enjoying a new word game: Reunion, free to play over at @MerriamWebster. There are two new versions of the game every day: an easier one and a harder one. Playing them has become a midday treat I look forward to.

For the first time in a long time, I read a Dick Francis novel. Wow, he's good! He drops you straight into the story on the first page and keeps you in it easily the whole way through. It was compelling but not flashy, full of suspense but not shallow. Just very fun!

i think a solution to the historical accuracy problem for the odyssey would be to set it in the 1930s in the south and change their outfits to something like prison uniforms, and maybe cast someone like george clooney instead of matt damon

Jessica Snell It was fun to be back in the world of Dogwood Creek for this story—the community-oriented, friends-and-family feel of these books is lovely!

Can we get AI to actually pick plastic out of the ocean, or do all the robots have to become screenwriters?

The sure provisions of my God attend me all my days; oh, may thy house be mine abode and all my works be praise. There would I find a settled rest, While others go and come; no more a stranger or a guest, but like a child at home. —Isaac Watts
