@TheNFLDraftHub Thats the point of having 3 first rounders.
English

Idk who needs to hear this, but there’s no way the Jets end up with the #1 overall pick in 2027 without trading up.
Roster is far too talented for that ✈️
English

Now the Quinnen Williams trade becomes
Deangelo Ponds
Cade Klubnik
And a 2027 first round pick
Jalen Brunson enthusiast@GothamCityM
So now the Quinnen Williams trade becomes A first, a second and a fourth

And now the Jets have drafted D’Angelo Ponds, who was our #3 ranked prospect in the draft.
They now have 4 of our Top 10 graded players in this class.
Gearing up for an all-time draft class.
Gridiron Grading@GridironGrading
The Jets have had an unbelievable first round tonight drafting 3 of our Top 10 prospects. David Bailey (EDGE1) Kenyon Sadiq (TE1) Omar Cooper Jr. (WR2) This is shaping up to be an all-time draft class grade for us.

@Playlikeajet1 So taking Sadiq at 16 makes sense now, right? They always knew they could trade back into the back end of the round for a WR.
English

Ok, this pick I love. I’d have been ok with Omar Cooper at 16. At 30, it’s a great value. Tremendous play strength, great YAC, & not just a a slot. Won plenty at Indiana playing outside in 2024. Reminds me of a smaller Anquan Boldin. Price for #Jets to move up wasn’t bad, either.
English

@JakeAsman He’s a difference maker. They csn still get a WR at 33.
English

Frank Reich better have a creative plan for how to use TE Kenyon Sadiq. I would have taken WR Makai Lemon or WR Denzel Boston over Sadiq at no. 16 instead. #Jets

@Savageboston @ProFootballTalk Neutering is a funny way to put it.
English

REPORT
per: @ProFootballTalk
The Patriots tried to stop the New York Post from publishing the Mike Vrabel and Diana Russini story.
“The Post gave Vrabel a longer time to respond than what is considered industry norms, and [owner Robert] Kraft took advantage of that extended timeframe to put pressure on the reporter and the newspaper,” the story explains. “A notorious crisis strategist made the call but was unsuccessful in neutering the story.”

English

@Playlikeajet1 @jjones9 Agreed. Makes no sense. Jets are not a win now team. If anything the guy with higher upside is the right fit. Presumably he will develop as the team rises. (If all goes according to the GMs plan.)
English

.@jjones9, says toss up at #2 but most league sources think Bailey bc as one DC put it “Reese will be a star but needs time & #Jets need someone now.”
#Jets do not “need someone right now.” They’re not a contender & Bailey’s not making them one in 2026. This narrative is insane.

@NFLDraftBites If Glenn and his staff will be gone after this year then according to your logic Mougey would take Reese. Because the new staff would presumably be better and know how to use him best. Your take makes no sense.
English

Takeaway on rumblings Jets will take David Bailey Edge Texas Tech over Arvell Reese LB Ohio St?
Scouting Staff doesn't trust Coaching Staff to maximize Reese's upside by finding a role he'll excel. With David Bailey, you put him on the Edge and don't need to tailor the scheme to his skillset.
Reese is 2+ yrs younger. Most talented player in the Class. GM Darren Mougey simply doesn't trust Aaron Glenn & his staff. With a new coach likely in 2027, won't be any ambiguity on where David Bailey plays in the Defense.

@nflrums How is this news? They called? Thats it? Did anyone pick up?
English

@li_jets These were holdovers from previous regimes. Plus they endured multiple losing seasons prior to Glenn getting there.
English

Gonna learn a lot about Aaron Glenn & the Jets this year.
Never seen so many players talk about wanting out.
Alijah Vera-Tucker
Quinnen Williams
Jermaine Johnson
Not great when 2 captains and culture players want out #Jets
