Coffield Unit of Texas Department of Criminal Justice; earliest possible parole November 15, 2031 for sex crimes against minors. He received a 45 year sentence in 2009. What a horrible human being.

@davemeltzerWON Ironically, Hulk may have been bigger in Canada than the US. He drew 70K for a house show in Toronto. Both WM6 & WM18 were all about Hulk (not Warrior, not Dusty, not Austin and Rock) Also go watch Raw in Montreal after WMX8. Show me a louder/longer ovation in the history of WWE?

Hogan is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history. You could make a case for the biggest. Influential is completely different. The issue here is that America is not the world, and the world didn't start in 1984. People have been brainwashed into thinking both.

@davemeltzerWON Dave recognized Hogan and his contributions. I think this is more about acknowledging some of the greats that came before Hogan. He definitely gave Hogan his credit. Look at Superstar Billy Graham. Hogan used Graham to create his character.

Hogan's MSG drawing record was FAR behind Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales or Bob Backlund, and I think Rocca and Billy Graham but I'd have to go back and look. Billy's record is spectacular. When Billy & Bruno died I listed both of their records at MSG in articles on their deaths.

@davemeltzerWON Hogan gave Vince sellouts at MSG time after time by himself. You forget that? Hogan sold out MSG, Vince was along for the sellouts.....big difference. How many Andre the Giant shirts did Vince Sr.orJr. sell? Few, Hogan was the moneymaker. Hogan left, so did the sellouts at MSG.

You’re proving the distinction Hogan was globally famous. Nobody serious disputes that. But Tiger Woods did not make golf exist as a successful sport, and Hogan did not make wrestling exist as one. He became the face of the era that consolidated and exported WWF’s version of it

Blah blah blah think what a lot of people don't differentiate is "big within wrestling" and "big globally." Ric Flair, for example, is the former, Hulk Hogan is the latter. Hulk Hogan is to wrestling what Tiger Woods is to golf. After Tiger, the purses, TV viewership, and media attention were all exponentially larger. Hogan was the same way. People who have never watched golf know who Tiger Woods is, people who have never watched one match know Hulk Hogan. That’s a fact
