On Air France/delta 7333/8363 on ground in marseille. Physically Violent shrieking disturbed passenger at boarding and the captain and crew are keeping him onboard. It’s unbelievable.

Hi @SixtUSA I rented a car, and at the advice of your representative I paid for a tank of gas in advance, then was billed anyway for an empty tank upon return. I reached out to Customer service for a refund and have yet to hear from anyone.

@TheHookUp1 @linusgsebastian @LinusTech This! We tested endlessly, couldn't replicate, and also couldn't believe all the untested assertions, acrobatic wrangling of tech journals to make this a Threat. It's important to hold companies accountable, but equally tech journos need to do the work before lighting torches.

After hundreds of Emails/DMs/Comments and Tags I decided to make a video about the misinformation and misunderstandings surrounding the Eufy scandal. Totally respect and admire @linusgsebastian and @LinusTech but I hope they clear this up next WAN show: youtube.com/watch?v=a_rAXF…

@TheHookUp1 @HP My father calls me weekly to figure out how to print stuff because HP thinks you should have to log in to print or scan. I had told him to stop buying HP. Now he will.

This is some serious dystopian bullshit. How are we letting @HP get away with this. This printer is connected to my computer via USB, it prints black and white documents. It shouldn't need an account, the internet, or DRM.

@roybahat I believe it's actually illegal anywhere to shoot down or intentionally damage a drone even if they're doing something illegal but if you are preventing a dangerous situation you may be in the clear. I would bet a leafblower could be modded to launch something sticky/heavy

Is it legal to fly a drone across a person's backyard, right by their bedroom window? If it's not legal, who do you call? (Like... what are the police gonna do to track down a drone?!) Asking for a me. (Considering buying a water balloon launcher like one we had in college.)

@wirecutter I got top pick smart lock (utec) and it seems at some point they moved to having you side-load the android app? Have any of you heard reports of weirdness from people? Having to side-load is a big red flag for a product like this

Hi @RadPowerBikes my radwagon4 died on fri and troubleshooting revealed nothing. I have called multiple times a day and sat on hold for cumulative hours, emailed support, left callback numbers twice and I've had no reply. You don't have stores or certified installers in NY. Help?

@geclauser @TheJonChase Yeah, and when I ordered the August someone stole it off my porch. So now I'm installing a doorbell camera this week as well.

@Shelness I'm unsure what you mean How are there no electronics in a security system that ties to a cloud database

@TheJonChase ...saw your article about the smart second home. Our personal, home and small business security system uses no electronics but ties valuables to a cloud database via the internet. It's a lost and found and security strategy the police prefer.

@womenwriterswin Most definitely! And to refine my original post, I'd say we're strongly interested in professional writers with meaningful experience with consumer-grade smart home devices.

@weischoice Hi DM me! We don't have a per word rate, and so pay based on the content type—blog, new guide, guide update, single review— which may vary based on the work involved (testing vs not, etc). Info here: nytimes.com/wirecutter/how…
