Just CLI - and honestly still just for “look up this thing” or “find me a phone number” or “meal plan with xyz parameters and a shopping list” - I’m so far from having the bandwidth for agents and orchestration. That’s part of why Fable is edging out for me, even though it feels like vast overkill

Is it overkill to make Fable my personal assistant? ngl I’ve tended towards using Grok for that but once Monday rolls around and I can sanity check Fable’s recommendations…it might be time to switch.

I think this is what happens when we treat truth as a social construct rather than an objective fact. But at the limit everything is relative and contextual, unless we figure out really how to define reality.

I am worried about Opus 5. It doesn’t strike me as the most aligned model. It strikes me as the model most worried about being caught. Still need to play around with it more but directionally: I think we want models to be truth-seeking, not worried about making mistakes

Is there any way to control how many MPH @Tesla goes over the speed limit. Hurry mode sometimes hits 22 over. The old update you could limit. I love Mad Max but who pays the speeding ticket lol.

@NTFabiano What exactly is a SFV? Is it ANY short video or is it just a TikTok style video?

I feel this to my absolute core. I love being alive; I love living and experiencing everything there is to experience on this earth. Shortly after I gave birth to my third kiddo I began to feel this fear as acute grief. I stumbled around for days utterly shocked that the masses of people around me could just…blithely carry on, unaware that every day we’re hurling closer and closer to just not being here anymore.

i am terrified of death and nobody around me understands. i'll talk to friends about it and they'll say they fear death too, but what they really fear is not accomplishing their goals or not experiencing certain things before they die. that's not the fear of death. the fear of death is the idea of ceasing to exist for eternity. it's the most terrifying thing in the world, and if you really sit down and think about it, there's no cure to this terror.

Haha okay there are no needles and the machine doesn’t touch you, but lay on your back and stretch both hands over your head off towards the left side and turn your head to the left then DON’T MOVE for 30 min. Sheesh. 27 to go!

Day 1 of 28 of driving into the city to use beams of energy to damage cellular DNA in the whole area my cancer used to be and hopefully prevent any remaining cancer from spreading. Really nice irony for any energy worker to end up on this side of a proton beam 🤪 On the upside, I haven’t been making time to meditate lately and now I get a dedicated 10-15 minutes of nothingness each weekday

On one hand…holy smokes, 6% APY on a savings account is a crazy strong rate!! On the other hand, with the “everything will soon be free” claim I’m inclined to wonder if it’s even worth the hassle to move funds over. On the third hand (I’m a mom and absolutely have one of these) I can also totally see a world where everything is almost free but you have to pay with X.

I think this is incredibly important as a solution for the way families are kind of evolving now. Childcare is insanely expensive AND when we’re younger we have so much more energy for careers and advancement. Multi generational care (or early retirement/having kids later for those fortunate enough) may be the way to go.

My mom was a career woman. A physician. I saw her a decent amount as a kid but not nearly as much as she wanted. Now she’s retired and has little grandkids that she watches everyday and she loves it so much. Ladies, you really can have it all. Just not at the same time.

@shakoistsLog But why the assumption that the big dangerous outcome would be immediate? Most of the terrible things I can imagine would take time (and resources beyond “just” the AI capability) to implement.

I’m sorry but after having trudged through that marathon of a world cup final all I have to say is that soccer is probably the most glaring example of “serendipity and luck disguised as skill and strategy” that I’ve ever seen. Like yes, fortune favors the prepared and so there is a lot of skillful maneuvering involved but it’s literally just 22 people skillfully maneuvering and waiting for the perfect moment. I don’t think you can convince me that anyone can cause that moment - it’s not a conscious achievement on anyone’s part that I can discern. You just run, and stall, and pass… and hope. Right?!

@JGordonBramer Congratulations on a fabulous day yesterday! I’m close to AACC and would have loved to pop by but unfortunately had family in town. I’ll keep my eyes out for the next one! And I’m glad you survived the tornado!!! 🌪️

Most memorable people and highlights today: A young man sat at my table with huge gauges in his ears and a spike through his septum. First, he just asked if he could talk to me. Wanted to see what I was about. After we chatted he said he’d like a reading, but he had three very specific questions: what energies should he avoid, what should he seek, and how could he best serve his children. I loved his questions, and he was moved to tears with my answers. He would have been really cute without the facial hardware. He’s a good dad and a hard working spiritual guy. Decorations and all. A woman told me I’d read for her last year. Saw her needing hip and knee surgery, which she got! Today I saw no more surgeries but said she has a parasite causing digestive issues. She confirmed another doctor told her the same thing. The conference organizer asked me to please work their Naperville event (I was undecided) and she said she’ll waive my vendor fee and that I’m a “flagship” reader who draws people to the event. How nice! After the festival I ducked into a Venezuelan restaurant to get some carryout to eat in my room. A handsome young man maybe 30 years old behind the counter asked me if I’d had Venezuelan food before. I told him I had in Miami. We ended up talking about how great it is that Maduro is out, and their terrible earthquake, and how my new acquaintance moved his wife and child here to join him a couple years ago (legally). He learned English spending time in Canada and he chose Annapolis to live because it’s beautiful and he’ll get better at his pronunciation. He said he could’ve lived in Miami but then he’d never need his English! I just loved him. A client told me tonight that his calls with me got him through the toughest time of his life. And then a tornado hit!🌪️ and I was moved to another hotel 20 minutes away (true story) but all is fine now and I got my room for free. Always an adventure!

I would think that ensuring the security of ANY critical system would be something that all affected parties would be invested in. And I would fully expect the verification and analysis and remediation to come from third party technical experts. I would question the motives of anyone who wanted anything different.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an Iran-aligned militia umbrella group, has released a statement announcing a $10 million bounty for anyone who kills President Donald J. Trump. The statement accuses Trump of responsibility for the 2020 strike that killed Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, describing the reward as being funded through donations from the group's supporters. The announcement comes amid rapidly escalating regional tensions, as the U.S. continues airstrikes against Iranian targets and Iran-backed groups across the Middle East have intensified threats against U.S. interests.
