@SyPoNecroCDi @megamega171 @allenvonghornet I have seen the video. He ranks how good they are for nuzlockes, but not actually by nuzlocking. He usually just goes to each boss fight and tests a bunch of pokemon and teams against them, and ranks based on that. I honestly find it way less interesting than his normal stuff.

@TheKrabMan @megamega171 @allenvonghornet He said he did during the video he tested every single Pokémon and how good they are for Nuzlockes and streams that have vods with him doing it. Which doesn't mean much for playing a game casually which is why a ton of people disagreed with him on Illumise being good

I got this video in my feed last month but Here’s a video of the same nuzlocker saying that he does use rare candies to make the game less risky and way easier and if you’re nuzlocking instead of going through the routes and leveling from enemies you should level to the boss asap

This guy knows the game in and out but unless you’re playing some difficulty romhack this rule set demolishes the attention you’ll have to how the games are actually designed and honest to god makes it easier by a lot

@SyPoNecroCDi @megamega171 @allenvonghornet Well true, but 90% of his videos and playtime are on enhanced difficulty hacks. And when its just vanilla, like that emerald video, its not usually a normal nuzlocke. That tierlist video was just battle testing, i'm pretty sure he didnt actually nuzlocke the game with every mon.

@allenvonghornet (Ignore the video's contents, just watch the gameplay) youtu.be/J1WE_dLKgaY?si… You can see he used to just grind safely on low level wild pokemon, because it wasn't ever worth risking losing a 100+ hour run to being underleveled. The candies just turn it from 100 hours to 10.

@allenvonghornet If you ever watched his blue, crystal or early emerald kaizo runs, you'd see him actually doing the exact same thing, but actually grinding (on low level pokemon). It was no more difficult, but just took hours extra work. So the candies have nothing to do with this.

@Cranberryscause I just wish you could have multiple save files. I hate that when i replay the game, i've got my maxed out guns and stuff already sitting in my box. Or enough money to upgrade anything i find. Really takes away that resource management feel that 4 has for me.

@SyPoNecroCDi @allenvonghornet Well yes they are harder than the main series games, but this streamer doesnt play those, he plays kaizo mods. I'd like to see how he approaches a kaizo mod of colosseum, purely for the double battles. Again, USUM are slightly harder, but nowhere near an enhanced difficulty hack.

@allenvonghornet Also, overleveling is a serious threat when using this early cap candy strategy, like his attempt 3 of platinum kaizo failed mainly because he levelled too high, and either was forced to try and split exp, or box the overleveled pokemon.

@rubynesoberi It's movement works for the levels and controller it has. But I find it unbelievably slow and floaty compared to all of the other 3d mario games, and I dont enjoy the movement at all compared to those. Mario 64's movement is the best part of the whole game.

@BrainbowManic @Protomario I'd argue yellow is when they started with decent movesets. Like look at the difference between giovanni and lance. Besides them, in that game most bosses usually have at least 1 good move on each pokemon. Still not great by any means, but massive progress on red and blue.

@Protomario Yeah, gen 2 is where they start giving boss battle trainers real movesets, besides the ace. But this was spotty at best. Gen 3, FrLg & especially Emerald in particular, is where they start being consistent with it.

I think forge and the Sovereign Blade is one of the coolest mechanics in Slay the Spire 2. It's kinda like Kingsbane in Hearthstone, you build a bigger and bigger weapon. Sadly I also think it's quite bad, so many enemies hard counter it and it's incredibly slow to build up.

I feel like a lot of people just write off the trade evos as unviable, completely ignoring that mons like Kadabra, Haunter, and Graveler have really good stats. Genuinely, don't write off these Pokemon if you can't trade. They're strong and reliable even without their evos

@MizutamariVT You need to actually play a hardcore nuzlocke to understand why the candies are reasonable. Especially the rom hacks that pchal plays. These games are already essentially rougelikes that take dozens of hours, add on grinding and each attempt would be hundreds of hours long.

They're actually trying to community note this. We have reached a point of casual gamer brainrot where they want credit for doing challenge runs that they're openly admitting they're cheating their way through. Play your game however you want, but don't expect me to pat you on the back for cheating your way through it. Pokemon isn't even a hard JRPG that requires excess grinding.

@okayheal @linkkling Thats not how those games work at all. In persona, you'll have party members like junpei that use fire but are weak to wind (not ice). And in smt, at least the ones i've played, its not a rule. Maybe i don't understand your wording, but i can't see how this applies at all.

@larrancitaber Did happen to me with smt4. Beat minotaur and realised i hadn't enjoyed any of it, and the game ran like dogshit because 3ds emulation sucks. I hope it gets a re-release. Also smirk was just annoying. SMT 5 & 3 better

@itsashotgunbaby I personally think this is useless but people might enjoy the game purely because this is in it and that's a good thing. If that bothers you then you have bigger issues than video games and should probably seek help
