Our new publ from COAPT in Circ CV Interv: Elevated natriuretic peptides were a stronger risk factor for death and HF hosp than prior HF hosp within 1 yr, although prognosis was worst if both were present. MitraClip improved outcomes regardless of risk.

Halloween case ?? 👻
Patient with hx of SAVR with metallic prosthesis 20y ago. Presented in ER with hx of acute onset of shortness of breath and cardiogenic shock (80x40) and EKG showing LBB (interpreted as new one). Referred for emergent cardiac catheterization. (findings above)
