Today is the 28th Anniversary of The Legal Project !

It's Giving Tuesday - a world wide movement where we reimagine a world built on shared humanity and generosity. So we are giving a SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to all of our amazing pro bono volunteers who are so generous with their time to help make the world a more just place!

October 20th is National Go Purple Thursday to raise awareness of domestic violence. The Legal Project was founded in 1995 to help DV victims access justice. Today we wore our purple proudly. We believe you and will continue to fight for you! #starttheconversation

Wonderful to meet today with local immigrant and refugee advocacy organizations to hear how my office and I can best support the vital work these groups do in our communities. I’m proud to lend my support to their efforts to make the Capital Region a welcoming place for all!

I-ARC Make Our Voices Heard Grantees directed comments to DHS concerning preserving DACA, procedural barriers to employment for SIJS recipients, changes in Asylum application processing, and racial disparities in TPS Designations.

I-ARC Make Our Voices Heard Grantees highlighted issues within the immigration courts such as lack of a right to counsel in immigration proceedings, publication of immigration decisions, scheduling issues in the immigration courts, and challenges with online filing systems.
