@Predamame Did this on my last race. Need some practice but it helped. Thanks for the tip.

Some guy called me "Sabastian Straw" lmfao
Runner's World@runnersworld
A marathon hydration hack you probably haven’t tried: carrying a straw. One runner says it turned chaotic aid-station water stops into a total game changer—making it easier to actually drink on the run. Sometimes the simplest race-day tricks make the biggest difference. runnersworldmag.visitlink.me/lyMjGg

why would anyone spend millions of dollars to build a factory in the US and train US workers when tariff policies can be changed on a whim by a compliment or an insult? you either shape your tariff regime around certain industrial goals or you're wasting everyone's time and money
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK
🚨 BREAKING: Donald Trump has lifted all tariffs on Scottish whiskey and bourbon following a request from the King

@BradleyGrey_ Fully agree. Just caught me off guard to see it go the other way, and felt that could be misleading and possibly harmful to someone who it has affected in a deep way. Thanks for the response.

@TheLongDefeat87 I hear that I'm normally a fan of nuance.
I'm making a point about the absolutes people say about casual sex and how everything should only be a deep profound emotional relationship.
There's danger in both.
English

Casual sex doesn't damage people.
Breakups do.
Nobody is lying awake crying over a one night stand.
But it can take years of therapy to get over someone you were deeply in love with.
We’ve been taught to fear casual sex like it's inherently harmful.
But what actually damages people is losing someone they loved.
Not the sex itself.
That’s not an argument against love.
It’s an argument against the shame we attach to sex.

@TheLongDefeat87 30 sec between the 400s. On the 150s it was closer to a minute and a half, but not set. I wanted the HR to be recovered before starting the next 150. Whereas with the 400s keeping the HR slightly up throughout was the plan. 150s with rests below:

English

@CatholicRunners Haha. I bet.
If I may ask. What was your rest time between sets on the latter portion.

@TheLongDefeat87 It felt easy yesterday, but my legs were feeling it today 😏

@HankFrank Key, imo, is just doing an honest assessment of everything and learning from it.

A marathon that goes sideways does not always mean the fitness was missing.
Sometimes the block did its job.
The race just exposed the stuff around the fitness.
Pacing was a little too hot.
Fuel came a little too late.
The course or weather took more than expected.
One rough mile turned into a few.
Still a bad day.
But not always a bad block.

@shitotaur All good. Just saying that Rolex makes a good watch. It's well built vs any high end fashion watch (ie: not a dedicated watch company). Are there other watches that are better/equivalent. Yes.
English

There are too many other watchmakers of the same status and quality as Rolex for this to be true I think, singling them out.
Sorry @TheLongDefeat87 had to qt here
