Trans women try to live fully as women so there’s not really a symmetrical equivalent to the whole thing lots of trans men have going on actually

“You sound like a man” > blame testosterone “Your adam’s apple is visible” > blame testosterone “You have big upper muscles” > blame testosterone If you want trans women to “look and sound like cis women,” then advocate for puberty blockers, not harass and shame us.

@mistergeezy This is politically illiterate/ misleading. The IRA was supposed to be linked to Build Back Better, the bill with more justice legislation. Manchin/leadership said they would pass both, then Manchin backed out of BBB. Some progressives voted no to push for both bills.

Wholesome post. Respect to this brave lady. “When I told my parents that I wanted to take off my hijab, they were upset. My father said, “Think about it a little more. choice is yours,” but my mother cried. And when our talk was overlater I overheard them talking about me. My mother said to my father, “You are giving her too much freedom. Don’t give her this much freedom. If others see her hair, it will be written as a sin on you as her father.” That truly broke my heart. How could a mother speak like that about her own daughter? That night I cried and kept overthinking like what if she makes him change his mind? What if I will never be able to remove that burden that I carry everyday? I couldn’t sleep that night I thought about it and then let them know that I will take it off definitely . After all, it was my life. And that day became the most important day of my life. because I had finally let go of something that had long felt like a burden to me. And I promised myself one thing; I won’t marry a Muslim guy so my future daughter won’t go through that horrible situation like me.”
