Uganda’s 1995 Constitution restored the four land tenure systems and entrenched private ownership rights. While historically justified, the political economy consequences have been profound: fragmented holdings, speculative land markets, weak physical planning, informal settlements, costly compensation regimes, and delayed infrastructure delivery. Across much of the world, strategic state control over land has enabled rapid industrialisation, urban planning, agricultural transformation, and efficient public service expansion. We arguably surrendered a historic opportunity to build a development-oriented land regime capable of accelerating structural transformation. The answer today is not arbitrary expropriation, but deliberate state land banking and long-term acquisition. Government must annually allocate substantial resources for strategic land reserves for schools, hospitals, industrial parks, reforestation, transport corridors, irrigation, and commercial agriculture. Sustainable development requires planning certainty, orderly urbanisation, and public control over strategic spaces. Without a coherent national land acquisition strategy, service delivery and economic transformation will remain unnecessarily constrained.

Let's think about this critically. If you've observed Mrs. Natasha and her father's public interactions, you might suspect there's more to the story.
The son's character is intriguing ,if they bring the daughter into the spotlight, she might gain acceptance and yes we all agree Mrs Natasha has qualities of a good leader and people might see her as a viable option of which some have already started.
Not saying it's a plot, but it's possible. The son could be a decoy, diverting attention. As Baganda say, ekiyita wagulu "Otega wansi" – look beyond the surface. Just saying temusiba🤝

Ugandans and other Africans being chased by black South Africans: “go back and fix your countries”. It’s very unfortunate what black South Africans are doing. What is worse, are the greedy heartless leaders looting their countries and living in wasteful luxury instead of improving the conditions for their people not to end up running to other countries (even deserts) for survival amidst dehumanisation. Then we blame colonialists!

@curvyyaphrodite Ladies get exaggerated praise for other things as well, such as earning money and being in the army.

“Marry a kind person” and it’s a man taking care of HIS child. Sometimes i look at how easy men have it and i sigh. Look how bloody low the bar is for them. Bar is below hell.

I used to think my dad just had a weird habit.
Every night, no matter how late it was, he’d check if I was asleep. Like actually come into my room, stand there for a second, then leave.
I remember pretending to sleep sometimes just to see how long he’d stay. Sometimes he’d fix my blanket, sometimes he’d just sigh and walk out.
As I got older, I thought it was kinda annoying. Like… why are you still doing that?
One night I finally asked him.
He just shrugged and said, “Just checking.”
Years later, my mom told me the real reason.
When I was a baby, I got really sick out of nowhere. Stopped breathing in my sleep. They barely made it to the hospital in time.
After that, he never fully trusted “quiet.”
So every night, for years… he just needed to see my chest rise at least once before he could relax. 🥹

In 2014, 23-year-old Ashley Gabrielle Huff was arrested in Georgia after police found a spoon with red residue in her car.
A field drug test said it was methamphetamine, but Ashley insisted it was just leftover spaghetti sauce from lunch.
Unable to afford bond, she spent nearly a month in jail, lost her job at Waffle House, and missed her child’s birthday.
The state crime lab later tested it properly and confirmed it was only spaghetti sauce.

@sejudav True. Which is why M7 and NRM are frauds. They have helped strengthen the foothold of Western imperialism in our part of the world. Not in vain M7 was dubbed "the West's Blue-eyed Boy". He is a tool of the Western economic hitmen. He is a good boy

EASTERN AND CENTRAL AFRICAN STATES have historically been DEEP VASSAL STATES OF THE IMPERIALIST SYSTEM. They were DESIGNED to be STRATEGIC DEPENDENCIES of the EMPIRE;British, French, Belgian, American.....And at the heart of all this CLIENTELISM Status, was the STRATEGIC AIM OF IMPERIALISM to Control the RIVER NILE WATERS; DELTA NILE, the SUEZ CANAL and that key route to INDIA/ASIA. As for Central Africa, it was because of EXTREME NATURE OF THE EXTRACTIVE ECONOMIC MODELS imposed by the Colonial Systems. It was differently done compared to other regions of Africa. But few scholars seem to have paid due attention to this phenomenon. In fact when IDDI AMIN tried to alter the Design; the uproar was astounding. Not because he was a dictator, but because he was interfering with IMPERIALISM'S STRATEGIC DESIGN/MODEL! After all, since when did the West care about good governance in Africa? only when it interferes with their AIMS.
So what is happening here is not new!

I got access to some Iran-affiliated channels in Farsi. Here's the vibe of the overnight messages.
I DO NOT CONDONE THE MESSAGE. I JUST THINK IT IS RELEVANT TO SHARE TO ASSESS WHAT IS GOING ON.
Strategic assessment: The data set shows that the US has decided to bring ground forces into the conflict due to the stalemate in the war situation and the extremely intense time and political pressure on Trump. The US is coordinating with Saudi Arabia and the UAE to start the operation, and the UK has accepted to participate in this operation alongside the US. Air defense systems are also being transferred to the region, and at the same time, there are plans for terrorist chaos on the border and in some cities. There is information that the US may simultaneously seek to hit several infrastructures and carry out high-level assassinations. Iran has mastered the entire US plan and intends to create a historic and unforgettable quagmire for the US forces in a way that, firstly, will bring a decisive political end to Trump, and secondly, by creating a new security equation, the geopolitical order of the region will change and, while restoring Iran's deterrence, its superiority over America's Arab allies and the Israeli regime will be permanently established. From this perspective, the Saudi-Emirati operational cooperation with the US in this attack is a significant opportunity for Iran and provides Iran with a complete justification for the preemptive destruction of all their infrastructure. At the same time, Iran will also elevate its strikes against the regime to the status of ‘red line zero’. The historical national solidarity that any attack on Iranian soil will create within the country will enable Iran to manage a long-term war and, contrary to US assessments, will seriously reduce Iran’s internal challenges. Iran estimates that a new phase of the battle will begin in about two days.
In the past few hours, Iran has struck very sensitive targets in Haifa and Dimona with the aim of preemptively crippling the enemy's war machine.
A new wave of operations against US military infrastructure has begun in the region. The main goal of this wave is the preemptive destruction of US ammunition, equipment and personnel before any operation against Iran.
Operational assessment: No type of operation against the Iranian islands will open the Strait of Hormuz. No single attack on the islands will work either, because in fact the geography of these islands is completely dependent on each other. Iran has been arming these islands with great care and detail for the past 30 years, and the attacks of the US and the Israeli regime over the past 20 days have not damaged any of Iran's basic military infrastructure on the islands. Any type of action against the Iranian islands will in fact lead to a definitive and long-term blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, which is in line with Iran's war strategy.
Iran and Hezbollah tonight jointly and combinedly attacked 80 targets across the occupied territories in one of the most extensive attacks since the beginning of the war. The scale of the destruction is unprecedented.
