Yeah - right. A GenX guy 25 years up - firefighter in NY State. We were forced, in order to keep putting food on our family’s table, to get the chemicals. No exemptions for state workers for religious or whatevs. My choice was to move somewhere else and restart career, losing retirement options, or stay to get the stupid jabs. Today, House Republicans once again forced through Trump’s anti-democratic bill, the SAVE Act. I voted HELL NO once again. Congress should be doing everything in its power to make voting easier and more accessible, not appeasing Trump’s election year wish to restrict whose voice is heard at the ballot box.

Let’s define unique human life, no discussion of religion. Scientifically, a human life is defined as a unique DNA profile, different from anyone else on the planet except an identical twin. Different blood type than the mother in 90% of cases. So, by extinguishing said life, you are committing murder. My body, my choice was gone in Covid when we were forced against our will to have chemicals injected into our own bodies. In the case of a pregnancy, it isn’t your body, but this body depends upon your body to establish itself.

Um, because we refused government charity? Because we were eligible for food stamps growing up and our parents decided we wouldn’t accept government charity - it wasn’t our money. We came out okay, but I refused a Pell grant and worked fast food to pay for college. Pardon is if we’re pissed that our tax dollars go to pay for schemes like a “Quality Learing Center”.
