all the fate stay night cast lore revealed in past 24 hours: - ayako kawasumi (saber) & kana ueda (rin) both hated shirou due to the fsn 2006 anime (adaptation of saber route) & found him annoying. kawasumi also insulted shirou's ability as a master to saber. kawasumi had a gilgamesh preference while ueda had a archer preference - noriko shitaya (sakura) was the ONLY heroine that loved shirou since the beginning. kawasumi and ueda have softened up on shirou now (as they say) but their preferences haven't changed. - jp shirou fans (male otakus) harassed kawasumi after she made some jokes & comments that they thought was an insult to shirou and felt like he was being cucked by saber for gilgamesh. this apparently reached it's boiling point when during the type moon 10th anniversary, kawasumi said she prefers gilgamesh over shirou, which i'm assuming gave her comment a lot more attention. another thing she did that angered them was use her saber voice to have saber say "sorry shirou, i choose gilgamesh." for the record: it was a joke and she acknowledged that she knows it was out of character afterwards. she ended up apologizing for her comments & since (to my knowledge), hasn't insulted shirou since. - kana ueda was said to have gotten yelled at for her comments to shirou but we don't know if she was harassed as much as kawasumi and apparently, ueda still hasn't apologized for her past shirou comments which those fans still take issue with - jp shirou fans also harassed junichi suwabe (archer) for his rin/archer comments but he never backed down from the ship. these people also claim suwabe isn't actually a fate fan and that the tm fanbase knows better than him (doesn't really work when fate unlimited codes exists but yk) - suwabe wrote a love letter to rin from archer's pov for a convention for fsn hf2 movie in honor of archer's goodbye to her. but he was sick so he couldn't present it. he had also shown the letter to nasu prior to the con. kana ueda brought a cardboard cutout of archer with her to the con cause she missed suwabe. noriaki sugiyama (shirou) ended up reading the love letter in an archer-like voice, which made the fsn cast cry. - noriaki sugiyama (shirou) was asked if he preferred rin or saber for shirou during the ufotable ubw anime era. he said shirou cared for both and quickly moved on (lol)
