@Hotshot_Movie Supported BOTH fires from Fox today. I was going to see a movie with the Fam, work on my trucks, maybe enjoy a soak in the hot tub! But noooooooo… fires EARLY this season. I just now got home and have to be wheels up at 0630 to be on base for a 0700 show time. *harumph*

@TheNimbusII @OC_Scanner And there are multiple light sources. The Sun is to the side/back and the city lights are on yet this looks like broad daylight. You idiots will believe anything.

size of a satellites can vary by size and could be anywhere between roughly .018sqft (a sprite) to 2400sqft (bluebird 6) You’re looking at earth which is about 7,195 miles in diameter (37,989,600 feet) but that’s only measuring in 2 dimensions. Add the spread of different orbit heights from the Karman line at 100 km above Earth’s surface to high earth orbit at about 35,786km making it a volume of 1,050,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 cubic feet of area roughly. I’d challenge you to pick out a satellite in that area.

@weaker_aether Why just Israel? What particular damage do you have for the only functional democracy, COUNTRY, in that part of the world?

Don’t listen to any “nay sayers”. If you’re just visiting then each state has SOMETHING to offer. For your consideration I can make some recommendations based on my OWN experiences. I can’t cover all 50 states as that would be a books worth and obviously I haven’t been everywhere… yet. California - Drive up Highway 1 if you can. Its very scenic and will take you through some very pleasant places to visit. DO stop at Pismo Pier, I strongly recommend grabbing one of the phenomenal sandwiches from House of the Rising Buns on Price street before you do. Grab a seat and enjoy the views. Further up the coast is Monterey Bay and it’s aquarium, always worth a visit. Do drive the Golden Gate, don’t linger. If youre so inclined to visit the desert, Death Valley is spectacular, HOWEVER go when it is cool because it is dangerous when it’s hot. Yosemite is great but often crowded. In the mountains just outside LA is a crown jewel of American Science, Mount Wilson Observatory. Brimming with history and the views of the Los Angeles area are unbeatable. Washington State: Ride the ferries! Take a day trip to the peninsula via Bremerton, grab some Ivar’s off Pier 54. While in Seattle go to the Space Needle and the Sci-Fi Museum. Visit Mount St Helens and Mount Rainer if you can. A drive up the Columbia River gorge is always a treat. Idaho: Reeds Dairy in Idaho falls, BEST chocolate milk ever. The ice cream is divine too. Drop down into Yellowstone National Park, well worth a look. Utah: Try the soda fountains that are everywhere. Go to Temple Square and see the LDS Temple there. Definitely try to get to Bryce and Zion National Parks. Arizona: Obviously the Grand Canyon. However Flagstaff is worth a visit particularly Mars Hill and the Lowell Observatory. Not too entirely far away is Meteor Crater, well worth a quick visit. To the south, Tucson and the Pima Air and Space Museum with the AMARG. If you like airplanes, it’s a must. New Mexico: Santa Fe is beautiful and rich in art and Native American culture. This is going to sound cheesy but definitely go to Roswell! They lean into the UFO thing and it works. Visit the UFO museum and Brick Town! Campy good fun and definitely memorable. The Stellar Cafe and Sweet Baby J’s stand out in my mind as being good pit stops to grab some coffee and pastries. Further south, Carlsbad Caverns, an absolute must. A drive through Colorado, Wyoming and on into the Dakotas will really help you understand how vast and beautiful America is. DEFINITELY stop at Mount Rushmore, if for nothing else than to say you did! Texas: Texas the vast. Amarillo is on Rout 66 and The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery is definitely worth a visit. Watch for someone to try the steak eating challenge. Austin is also worth a visit, fantastic BBQ places everywhere. The Museum of Natural History is a good stop. Pretty certain 5th Street for the music and food is still a thing, don’t quote me on that though it’s been awhile since I was there. The San Antonio River Walk is fun and interesting. Obviously you’ll want to visit Starbase if youre headed south anyway! If you want to visit “small town” America I recommend Jefferson Texas east of Dallas, just a small town tucked out of the way and seemingly lost to time but switch from the big hot spots of the country and good BBQ too. Louisiana: While over Jefferson way slide through Shreveport and then down into Natchitoches for the famous meat pies. The area is also known for it’s Magnolia Trees which when in bloom are quite amazing. Then there is New Orleans, go durring Mardi Gras just… be careful. Be sure to try a crawfish (locally called mudbugs) boil while in Louisiana, the “Mom’nPop” shops are usually the best. Mississippi: Vicksburg stands out in my mind. Rich in Civil War history and beautiful in its own right. It sits on the bluff of the mighty Mississippi River and is well worth a visit. I know this is extremely long and there is much more if you like my honest opinions…

@marklevinshow It’s like watching two cavemen trying to have a debate on particle physics while they’re still banging rocks together to make fire.

@TheNimbusII @teameffujoe Child, What Founding Father had the original intention for the CONSTITUTION to give the Federal Government the authority to control what we grow and consume? Your entire existence is pathetic. You wallow in ignorance. Thank you for your soul. 😌

Oh what’s that sound in the background while these Islamists sit and laugh???? It’s a 12 year old Yazidi girl being gang raped while they toss her clothes around and make fun of her. Islam is a cancer on this world.

I hate modern gaming. Decided to boot up the XBone… and now I’ve been waiting 20 minutes for an update. I don’t even feel like playing anymore.

Per this application Dragon wins. More importantly Dragon is intrinsically more reliable because it was built to turn a profit. If it’s constantly breaking and COSTING the company money what good is it? The argument is blunted by the automation. BOTH systems are little more than windows into the computer to follow what it’s doing with SOME control authority. This argument is actually older than human space flight itself. There is a fantastic book called Digital Apollo which delves into the details.

How often does Orion fly? Which means how OFTEN are its systems stressed in real world conditions? An aircraft that gets you BACK time and time again because it’s systems are proven and reliable should ALWAYS be the first pick. It doesn’t matter what “technology” it has. Switches break, gauges fail, and fan boys are still just fan boys not test pilots. Just because something HAS always been doesn’t mean its the best. We still use magnetos for fuck sake! Magnetos are TERRIBLE compared to the electronics that are available now! So “nope” off somewhere else, youre out of your depth here.
