Nothing will change and Canada will not heal until we make lying wrong again. Lying and thus betraying the public trust needs to come with consequences to severe to ignore. Crippling fines and prohibition from public service needs to be on the table or it will never end. In the worst cases, there should be criminal charges available, literal jail time.
