@SPFLWatch The B teams have not worked for either the “parent teams” or those in the Lowland League. They add nothing to the league and probably have gained next to nothing from it. Only got in because of what they paid, at the expense of other “pyramid” teams which was a disgrace.

Hearts will fold their B Team at the end of the season in favour of developing players through cooperation agreements. The “Lowland League East” will be ran with 16 teams next season. Celtic are the only remaining side with a B Team in the pyramid

@martinsneddon @Pyramidpro2025 @OfficialWoSFL @OfficialSLFL Totally agree but the Lowland League teams have protected themselves since day 1 and progressing thru the pyramid is made harder and harder for the lower teams. No B teams should be allowed either as they add nothing to the league and take up two spaces

@Pyramidpro2025 @OfficialWoSFL @OfficialSLFL I hope something changes. It's inconceivable that a team can win their league and not be automatically promoted. It's just plain wrong.

⚽️🎙WOSFL PROPOSAL🎙⚽️ The @OfficialWoSFL proposal for reconstruction states that if implemented, the @OfficialSLFL league would cease to exist and be replaced by the East & West Premier Leagues as Tier 5, along with the existing LL teams. It also states that it would have a 3 up and 3 down relegation fron tier 5/6. It is still hoped to be brought in for season 25/26, but unsure if this will go ahead as its just a proposal. Below is the new setup up based off of standings from 11th April

What I do know is clubs who have entered the “pyramid” in an attempt to progress up the pyramid are treated differently and would even argue they are held back by Colt teams being in the league

🗳️❌ The Highland League proposal that would have seen the Lowland League split into East and West has been formally voted down by Lowland League member clubs with 8 clubs against, 7 for, and 1 club abstaining. More proposals may be forthcoming to the pyramid working group.

I know other teams have a squad but most have a core team that plays, not the B teams which punishes some and benefits others. What do they bring to the league as it’s not fans!

Our man Robbie Miller (@rxbbiemfc) was at Alliance Park tonight as Caledonian Braves and Broxburn Athletic played out a 1-1 draw.

A decent performance against a decent team but guess the end result was inevitable. It could have been worse but needs to happen the Scottish way, lose in the last couple of minutes.

Defending was poor in critical moments, making tackles that didn’t need to be made and paying the price. 3 shots against on target and 3 goals conceded, not good 😡
