I refuse to engage kindly with people who dont enter a conversation with the intention of having a constructive conversation, even if i dont insult people they come in abusive as shit for even suggesting their main get tuned even slightly. Okay so if I speak on balancing on any other character, the people who play them cheer in agreement but the moment I say anything about assassin I get a billion different people all being disgustingly toxic and abusive and very clearly strike a nerve with the unemployed overweight demographic. That doesnt split the audio from rain or heat cascade from footsteps. I have near identical audio settings. You've quite literally offered 0 input and argued your points that have 0 validity against someone whos worked in sandbox balancing and who plays esports professionally because you think youre better at everything because you havent gone outside since the game released. Signal Jammer does the following:
- Reduce aim assist (both reticle friction for controller specifically and bullet magnetism for both)
- Make you immune to claymores
- Obscure both UESC and enemy vision against you (harder to spot)
- Makes you immune to flechette grenade tracking (though you can still take damage if you run into it)
- Hard counters thief x-ray vision, destroyers prime targeting, volt weapon targeting, recons drone, thief's drone
- Thermals
- Basically anything that has tracking won't work on you

I believe he is referencing manipulating the 0-16000hz db to make the range more narrow for some and wider for others to differentiate sounds.

@AphelionArtist If invis didn’t exist or thermals didn’t exist I would agree.
But because they do I think a slight shift from baseline 0.8 to baseline 0.9 sec ttk would help a lot. Seems like nothing but in a high skill player it’s everything.

@AphelionArtist @Eieowsudnda This game plays too slow to outplay a sniper with a thermal. Thermals need to be more rare and snipers shouldn’t one shot. Make you have 5 health left yes. But everything should be able to be reacted to if your reaction time is fast.

@Eieowsudnda this i think could be changed by increasing ranged damage drop off, but i still think an actual sniper landing a headshot should be able to one shot at just about any range

0.8 and then 0.6
Research what those specific deadzones do before adjusting further.
Also worth messing with response curve to your liking.
But that will make it feel less responsive if those are high

In terms of current looter shooters.
Warframe > Division 2 > Borderlands 4 / Destiny 2
BL4 and D2 are currently in a contest to see who can be worse, while Warframe cooks, and Division 2 unfortunately doesn’t have the bodies to create new content / theyre making Division 3.
Destiny 2 is just bad though.
