@obyezeks Indeed, it's in our hands. But papa shud advise the CIC to resign. When a ship is sinking, the captain is the first casualty. If it is not his buddy that is in Govt, he wud have commenced another "prayer work," even though the socio-economic unrest today demands more than that.

Final Part Understanding Public Frustration While Recognizing the Wrong Target: Pastor E.A. Adeboye Is Not Our Problem No, Pastor Adeboye is not our problem. He speaks. He spoke in the 1990s. He spoke in the early 2000s. He spoke in 2010. He spoke in 2020. He spoke in 2025. He has spoken across administrations, regardless of who governed or governs as President. The real question is: How many of us were listening? Did I hear you ask, “What did he say, and when?” I will share two of the most relevant examples- not only because they are factual, but because they embody the pathway forward for our beleaguered country, if we are finally ready to listen, act, and compel our government to lead the reforms Pastor Adeboye has long advocated. 1. November 2025 - A Direct Public Message to President Tinubu Contrary to the misinformation circulating online, Pastor Adeboye’s strong message was delivered in November 2025, during the Holy Ghost Service- not this week. He said: “You can only advise the Commander‑in‑Chief; you cannot command him. But I’ve tried. God is my witness.” “Tell our security chiefs to get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.” He added: “They must eliminate the terrorists and their sponsors, no matter how influential.” These are not the words of a passive observer. These are the words of a citizen - an influential leader - demanding results, accountability, and consequences for failure. This is the same Pastor Adeboye some are attacking today. He issued one of the strongest public demands for accountability ever made by a Nigerian religious leader. But how many of us were listening? What did the President do with that message? And what did we do with it? 2. October 1, 2020 - A Public Call for Structural Reform At a national governance forum co‑organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute to mark Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary, Pastor Adeboye critiqued our dysfunctional governance structure: “It is ridiculous that a traditional ruler must inform a local government chairman before he travels.” He went further: “We all know that we must restructure. It is either we restructure or we break. You don’t have to be a prophet to know that. Now, we don’t want to break up - God forbid.” He proposed a “United States of Nigeria” - a governance model with a President and a Prime Minister, rooted in institutional effectiveness. These are not the words of a man indifferent to Nigeria’s future. Nigeria is structurally dysfunctional. As presently constituted, cycles of elections without correcting the underlying structure will only degrade - but God forbid- collapse this country. Now that we know - from just two of his many significant public statements that Pastor Adeboye has long been speaking truth to power on the hydra-headed crises that cripple our nation‑building process, the real question becomes: What are we all now going to do about it? “Shall these bones live?” Like Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones, we stand in a moment of national reckoning. The bones can live - but only if we act. It is time for Nigerians to let the image of our 2‑year‑old baby held captive by our common enemies galvanize us to collectively rescue that child and through her rescue our nation. The answer, my compatriots, is in our own hands. Obiageli “Oby” Ezekwesili A Mother June 4, 2026 ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾

The way Pastor E.A Adeboye manages the redemption city shows he is a better leader than the leaders in this country. Every social amenities you can think of is available in the camp for years without glitch and you think he is your problem. You are demanding what you should

Pastor Adeboye Did Not Protest Against President Goodluck Jonathan’s Government A false narrative has been circulating online, accompanied by a photograph of Pastor E.A. Adeboye holding a placard during a public walk. The image has repeatedly been misrepresented as evidence that Pastor Adeboye led or participated in a protest against the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. This claim is FALSE. The photograph in question was taken during a peaceful nationwide walk held in response to a directive issued by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) during the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari. Churches across Nigeria were instructed to hold peaceful walks after service, calling attention to the persistent killings of Christians and urging the government to take decisive action to protect lives. The walk in Ebute Metta, where Pastor Adeboye participated, was part of that nationwide exercise. It was neither organized against President Goodluck Jonathan nor connected in any way to his administration. Ironically, despite the significant media presence at the event when it took place, some of the same photographs have years later been recycled and falsely presented as evidence of a protest against a completely different government. It is important to note that Pastor Adeboye’s message during the walk was clear: all lives matter to God. His placard emphasized the value of every human life, regardless of religious affiliation. The call was for the protection of innocent Nigerians, both Christians and Muslims. Yes, Nigeria is facing enormous challenges, and citizens have every right to desire solutions. However, the growing demand that Pastor Adeboye should “command” the President or the First Lady on how to run the affairs of the nation is both unrealistic and unreasonable. Pastor Adeboye is a clergyman, not the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Nevertheless, he has not remained silent. During the November 2025 Holy Ghost Service, Pastor Adeboye publicly offered counsel to the President of Nigeria regarding the worsening security situation and the continued killing of innocent citizens by terrorists. He warned that urgent action was necessary before foreign powers found justification to intervene in Nigeria under the guise of combating terrorism. He further advised that security chiefs should be given a clear ultimatum to decisively address the menace or vacate their positions. In his words: “When they eliminate the terrorists, ask them to eliminate their sponsors too.” At 84 years old, Pastor Adeboye continues to provide spiritual leadership, moral counsel, and national guidance within the limits of his office as a minister of the Gospel. For the avoidance of doubt: • Pastor Adeboye cannot command the President or the First Lady on how to govern Nigeria. • Pastor Adeboye and RCCG are not responsible for the current challenges facing the nation. • RCCG is not a political party. • Pastor Adeboye does not hold political office and was not elected into government. • RCCG is not the religious arm of any political party in Nigeria. Facts matter. Context matters. Truth matters. Before sharing claims about Pastor E.A. Adeboye or The Redeemed Christian Church of God, verify them through RCCG’s official communication channels. @tonex_martins @abolajiadeola This comparison doesn’t make sense. Preaching and speaking ≠ marching on the streets at 84 with placards. And as an able-bodied man, what protest have you led?

I see a lot of people even fellow christians saying things like “Adeboye Should come out and protest”. Protest how and why ?…his protest would make the soldiers get more motivation or what exactly would his protest yield ?. AT 84 year old he should come out and do what exactly. First I need to state it once again that @PastorEAAdeboye never protested under President Jonathan, he came out on the 2nd of February 2020, obeying the directive of PFN and CAN for a National Prayer walk which other churches observed as well. That false narrative of him protesting under Jonathan is pathetic because some of us walked with him on the Streets of Ebute Meta just before the lockdown. I’ve been seeing a false narrative going around of people saying @PastorEAAdeboye cancelled a protest, that is also false. PFN called for a 3 day prayer and rally, which @PastorEAAdeboye directed the Admin department of the church to follow as that was the directive of PFN. but when PFN said people should not protest in different locations but gather for prayers at state secretariats and hold the prayers in their churches, the RCCG Admin also released another circular updating members about the new developments as stated by PFN, so why the evil narrative that Adeboye called off the protest ? We need to understand that the enemies have us exactly where they want us to be which is for us to be divided and insult those who have been appointed as Gatekeepers. These evil doers carry out their evil, chanting praises to their god and even observe religious holidays and all, but we are not directing our anger to their Imams and their leaders. If their religion is truly a religion of peace, their leaders must take responsibility, start speaking up, lead protests because these evil people are also giving their religion a bad name. The Government is responsible for security of lives and property not Pastor E.A. Adeboye !

@Mhuhaaz Even if you bring up Jonathan’s era, are we pretending he isn’t over a decade older now? And he hasn’t been silent. There are videos of him speaking on insecurity and the nation. If your definition of “protest” is an 84-year-old man on the streets, you’re being unreasonable.

He protested with placards under Jonathan but went silent when the same issues continued, Selective activism isn't activism. Power changes; when it does, everyone will live with the consequences of what they defended today. When the power goes to other regions, Una too cry.
