Vincenzo Montella is currently one of the most interesting NT-coaches. → overload to isolate = Kadioglu & Yildiz in 2v2's → no traditional cf; instead uses false 9 → FB's inverted, but flexible: wide/invert into HS/3ATB → 6 often drops btw. CB's → Güler roaming around

Nagelsmann’s box-3-3 deep build-up: 4v3 in 1st first phase, allowing Stiller to receive the ball. Brown inverts, which causes the opposition CM to be pinned back --> Stiller can receive. Inverting of the LB also shortens the passing lane from Stiller --> Brown afterwards.

Sequence of Liverpool creating two overloads; - 3v2 1st phase, 3v2 2nd phase - Alisson moves higher - Robertson inverts - Mac Allister & Robertson stretching line - Wirtz drops inbetween & receives

Vincent Kompany; • 2-2-2-1-3 structure • overloading centre • both fullbacks inverting; pinning opponent → opening passing lanes to wingers → wingers can receive & go into 1v1's

• Bruno moves from centre to wide spot • creates half-space overload (2v1) • increases distance to opponent = forces CM to decide; follow or stay • initiates counter-movement w/ Dorgu • Dorgu's run pins opponent deep = space for Bruno to receive

It took City 10 seconds to arrive from their goalkeeper to Newcastle's box. Reason for that is that they have two overloads but also the brilliant decision making of O'Reilly

Mikel Arteta; • 4-3 build-up • deep full-backs = distance for Chelseas WB's increase = ball-near overloads with FB's • time & space for wide players to circulate

This right here happened once if I recall correctly. Once! There was tons of potential for Arsenal here but not enough. I’ll commend the defensive performance but also think they should’ve shown more in possession.

Excellent sequence from Arsenal. Rice drifts to the left & pins Caicedo, while Zubimendi drifts right to pin Santos. This opens the passing lane into the center. Eze drops in between them to create a 3v2 and can receive a line-breaking pass from Gabriel.

Chelsea consistently created overloads in their build-up, partly because West Ham aimed to maintain a +1. Through clever positioning by Enzo Fernández, either by dropping deeper or moving wide, Chelsea were able to exploit these overloads.
