The out-of-possession setup of Besiktas was not good. The spaces between the lines were insane. Skriniar, Oosterwolde & Kante create a 3v2, with Guendouzi dropping to receive via a 3rd-man pattern & access Kante outside the cover shadow. Issue: Oosterwolde's pass not good.

@TheProfiler__ It’s not always about the coach it is about capability of footballers sometimes. These issues are clear but 3 xG in a derby like this is clearly something apllaudable for me.

How Fenerbahce made things unnecessarily difficult for themselves between the lines against the poor out-of-possession setup from Besiktas.

@berkegnyboz I know what you mean, I was quite skeptical as well because I still knew him from his time in Germany. But I think he's a very interesting coach who definitely still needs to develop further though. He surprised me in a positive way.

@TheProfiler__ I'm unsure on how to feel about Tedesco. Has been a very good man manager and a positive effect on the culture of the club which Fener desperately needed. But tactically he has made costly mistakes, the games against Kasımpaşa and Antalyaspor for example+

@berkegnyboz Agree that he'd be the better option generally. I liked this one though cause Kosovo's press wasn't intense enough to cause problems for Ismail. At the same time it allowed to have 3 players in the 2nd phase w/ Ferdi, Hakan & Arda who are comfortable under pressure when receiving

Vincenzo Montella is currently one of the most interesting NT-coaches. → overload to isolate = Kadioglu & Yildiz in 2v2's → no traditional cf; instead uses false 9 → FB's inverted, but flexible: wide/invert into HS/3ATB → 6 often drops btw. CB's → Güler roaming around

Nagelsmann’s box-3-3 deep build-up: 4v3 in 1st first phase, allowing Stiller to receive the ball. Brown inverts, which causes the opposition CM to be pinned back --> Stiller can receive. Inverting of the LB also shortens the passing lane from Stiller --> Brown afterwards.
