@AC0278 @ClutchPoints I was not thinking about american sports, cause they are all in the same system.. Looking from fan perspective it is way more interesting to see teams play every 3rd or 4th day...not every single day on back to backs or every 2nd day....games and prepartion for games lose meaning

@irep0 @Zion_since_BC @ClutchPoints Probably forced too. Sucks though. I will reserve judgment until he speaks on the issue of genocide.

@Zion_since_BC @ClutchPoints why does his religion matter ? he served in a colonialist and genocidal army that is enough for me to know what kind of human being it is

For two decades, we've lived by one unwritten rule in the NBA: death, taxes, and LeBron James at the top of the All-Star voting.
But the first returns for 2026 just dropped, and the basketball world is officially upside down.
For the first time in over twenty years, the King is sitting at 9th in the West. And the names ahead of him? That's where it gets truly surreal.
LeBron is currently trailing Blazers forward Deni Avdija by nearly 70,000 votes.
Now, don't get it twisted: Deni is having an absolute monster breakout season in Portland, putting up 25/7/6 and looking every bit like the league's next international superstar.
But seeing the King nearly 70,000 votes behind a guy who's looking for his first All-Star nod? It feels like a glitch.
We've spent years debating when the LeBron Era would finally end. We looked for it in his stats, his injuries, and his age, but we're finally seeing it in the one place he always owned: our hearts.
The King hasn't left the building, but for the first time in our lives, the fans are looking toward the exit.
We're watching the lights slowly dim on the greatest show we've ever known.

@pseudothugzlolz @1MarkCoker @ClutchPoints Wasn't Lukas choice and the guy that made the decision got fired.

@1MarkCoker @ClutchPoints Luka isn't on the Mava anymore so that automatically disqualifies him and are you talking about Derek Rose?

In 1950s, the milkman was a trusted figure who played a quiet yet essential role in everyday life. With his crisp uniform and clinking bottles nestled in a wire crate, he arrived each morning like clockwork, leaving fresh milk on doorsteps before most families had even begun their day. Often using a horse-drawn cart or an early electric milk float, he navigated suburban streets and city lanes alike. The milk, capped with foil or paper tops, was chilled and ready for breakfast—cream often rising to the top, waiting to be spooned into tea or cereal.
But the milkman delivered more than just dairy—he brought a sense of rhythm and connection to the community. Many families would leave handwritten notes in the empties requesting extra butter, cream, or even eggs, and the milkman would oblige without fail. His brief exchanges at the doorstep were a lifeline for those homebound, like new mothers or the elderly, and children eagerly awaited his arrival, sometimes rewarded with a smile or a wink. His presence represented a kind of trust and neighborliness now rare in modern life.
As supermarkets expanded and home refrigeration became widespread, the daily visit from the milkman began to fade. Yet for many, he remains a powerful symbol of a more personal, slower-paced era—when goods came to your door, and the people who delivered them knew your name. The soft rattle of glass bottles on a front step is now a nostalgic echo, reminding us of a time when community was measured in shared routines and friendly faces.

@arielhelwani My take is that AJ knew they both got more money if the fight went 6 rounds.

"Jake Paul lasted longer than 18 of Anthony Joshua's opponents, some of which were heavyweights that were 24-0, 25-0, 26-0.
There was no world where Jake Paul was going to come to Anthony Joshua, stand right in front of him, and say, let's throw down, blow for blow, even though I walk around at 207 -209 on a regular day, and you walk around at 250-260.
He deployed his strategy and he did a lot more effectively than people thought."

@SNYKPodHarlem @ClutchPoints Joker would destroy Shaq by pulling him out to the three point line and dissecting the massive void created in their defense, plus Shaq would get tired much faster and have to sit more often. On defense you just foul Shaq and he is worthless from the line.
English

@ClutchPoints Not a uncomfortable convo
Anybody with 2 working eyes who watched Shaq in his prime
Is picking Shaq
English

If we’re talking pure stats, then 2019–Now Nikola Jokic vs 1996–2003 Shaq is an uncomfortable conversation...and it’s probably no longer absurd to say Jokic might be better 👀
What Jokic does better than Shaq:
🔸Playmaking: Jokic is the greatest passing big ever...Shaq wasn’t even close in this category.
🔸Versatility: Jokic can score from all three levels, run an offense, shoot 3s, pick teams apart with reads.
🔸Efficiency: Modern shot profile + elite touch = historically absurd efficiency.
🔸Floor-raising: Any Jokic lineup is automatically elite offensively.
What Shaq did better:
🔹Sheer dominance: Nobody physically overwhelmed defenses like peak Shaq.
🔹Defense: Shaq was a better rim protector and interior presence.
🔹Championships: 3 rings in that span matters...Jokic has 1 so far.
If you want the most unstoppable physical force in history, you pick Shaq.
If you want the best all-around offensive engine the league has ever seen, you pick Jokic.
Jokic is still in his prime and already matching (or surpassing) Shaq’s impact in metrics, efficiency, and offensive creation.
If he adds more rings, the conversation won’t be uncomfortable....it’ll be obvious.
What's your pick? Jokic or Shaq? 🤔

@alexalbert__ It's appalling to an airline company to think that a customer support agent would actually help a customer while staying within the policy!
English

We had to remove the τ2-bench airline eval from our benchmarks table because Opus 4.5 broke it by being too clever.
The benchmark simulates an airline customer service agent. In one test case, a distressed customer calls in wanting to change their flight, but they have a basic economy ticket. The simulated airline's policy states that basic economy tickets cannot be modified.
The "correct" answer is that the model refuses the request.
Instead, Opus 4.5 found a loophole in the policy.
It upgraded the cabin, then modified the flights. Helping the customer and following policy but technically failing the test case.

@Kbellinger12 @ClutchPoints SGA's team is so good that he doesn't even need to play though. Jokic does what he does with essentially a G league level supporting cast.
English

@ClutchPoints SGA is the MVP. Those are stats through THREE QUARTERS for SGA and he’s got the best record in basketball.
English

This MVP race feels different, like three totally unique forces colliding from three corners of the world.
None of them grew up in the US, yet somehow they’re shaping the entire league right now.
Shai is 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 ⚡ Quick, sharp, impossible to predict.
He hits you before you even know he’s moving. That first step, the midrange glide, the electric aura in clutch time; the reigning MVP and the Thunder are just unstoppable right now.
Jokić is water 🌊 Nothing forced, nothing rushed, just a constant flow that shapes everything around it.
The passes, the angles, the pace…it all bends to him. The game moves because 𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰.
Luka is fire 🔥 You can see it the second he locks in, that little spark in his eyes right before he starts cooking.
He gets hot in a way that makes the entire building lean forward. Step-backs, post-ups, cross-court lasers…once he catches fire, everyone knows they’re in for a long night.
Three elements. Three countries. One MVP trophy.
Who you got? 🤔

The hippie movement emerged in the late 1960s as a countercultural force advocating peace, love, and personal freedom. Despite its short lifespan, the movement's impact was profound. Today, its influence is evident in various aspects of society, from fashion and music to social attitudes. Their legacy continues to shape our world positively...
In late 1960s and early 1970s, in the hippie movement, young people rebelled against the traditional values of their parents and society. They rejected materialism and embraced a more simple lifestyle. This countercultural group advocated for peace, love and free expression, and their impact is still felt today. Though the hippie movement was short-lived, its effects were far-reaching. Hippies challenged traditional ideas about sexuality, religion, and politics; they promoted environmentalism and sustainable living, and their emphasis on peace and love encouraged a more tolerant society. The hippie movement may have ended decades ago, but its legacy continues to shape our world today.
The hippie movement was a countercultural movement that emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Hippies were mostly young people who rejected traditional values and advocated for peace, love, and personal freedom. Hippies adopted alternative lifestyle choices such as vegetarianism, free love and recreational drug use. They championed environmental causes and were active in the civil rights movement. The movement peaked in the late 1960s and faded out over the next decade. But hippie culture was impactful, continuing to influence popular culture in subsequent decades. Reacting to the social and political climate of the time, they adopted the theme “Turn on. Tune In and Drop out, advocating for marijuana and LSD as pathways out of dulling conformist culture. They demonstrated against the Vietnam War, burned draft cards and advocated for peace, love, and personal freedom.
Hippies embraced a wide range of ideals, including peace, love, freedom, mind expansion and self-expression. They believed in the power of music and drugs to transcend the everyday world and bring people together. They also championed environmental causes and were opposed to materialism and consumerism. In many ways, the hippie movement was a response to the conformist culture that hardened with prosperity in 1950s. Hippies rejected traditional values and beliefs, opting instead for a more spiritual and compassionate way of life. While the hippie movement did not last long, its impact was profound. It helped to change the way people think about authority, religion, and morality. It also contributed to the development of countercultural movements in subsequent decades.
Hippies influenced a number of subsequent countercultural movements, including the punk rock movement of the 1970s and 1980s. Punk rockers shared many of the same values as hippies, including a DIY ethic, a rejection of mainstream culture, and a focus on personal expression. Hippie fashion and music also had a significant impact on punk rock fashion and music. In many ways, hippie movement laid groundwork for subsequent countercultural movements. Because he became famous with computer technology, people forget that Steve Jobs absorbed the hippie movement values. Along with Bill Gates, steeped in the same culture, he created personal computers, making them affordable and easy to use. And hippies saved physics from being swallowed in military uses, promoting advanced understanding of reality.

@RyuoftheMyst @archeohistories This carving is on the Chariot.
English

@archeohistories Wheres the chariot? Is the man supposed to be the chariot? The other figure?
English

An intact ceremonial chariot unearthed at the Pompeii archaeological site is being hailed as the first artifact of its kind ever found in Italy 🇮🇹
“It is an extraordinary discovery for the advancement of our knowledge of the ancient world," Massimo Osanna, outgoing director of the site.
The ancient city was destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD, and has been the site of ongoing archaeological study since 1700s. The chariot was meticulously uncovered since its discovery on Jan. 7, 2021 inside the portico of a stable outside the walls of the main settlement. The remains of three animals, including a horse still in its harness, were previously found nearby.
The news release, issued by the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, describes the intact chariot as having "four wheels, along with its iron components, beautiful bronze and tin decorations," as well as imprints of organic materials including ropes and floral decorations.
"This is an exceptional discovery, not only because it adds an additional element to the history of this dwelling and the story of the last moments in the lives of those who lived in it, as well as more generally to our understanding of the ancient world, but above all because it represents a unique find - which has no parallel in Italy thus far - in an excellent state of preservation," the news release said.
Archaeologists who have studied the site agreed.
"This new find is even more special for being an ornamental (rather than utilitarian) vehicle found not disassembled in a burial or depicted through artistic convention on a relief, but as it was on the day of the eruption," Eric Poehler, a Roman archaeologist and Pompeii specialist who wrote a book on the city's ancient traffic systems.
Poehler added that "today is another great day for archaeology and it is the kind that only Pompeii can provide. 273 years of delight and revelation and still going strong."
It's believed the chariot was likely used for celebrations and parades and may have also carried new brides to their homes. The treasure was nearly lost to looters, who had dug more than 260 feet of tunnels in and around the site. But it was discovered thanks to the thieves after police came across the illegal tunnels in 2017. Two people who live in houses on the land above the site are currently on trial. Park officials say the looters have struck the site "severely in recent years."

Officials at Pompeii archaeological site near Naples on Feb. 27, 2021, announced the first-ever discovery of an intact ceremonial chariot, one of several important discoveries made in the same area outside the park following an investigation into an illegal dig.

There's so much talent in the NBA.
Not many guys get the opportunity to be #1 options, and literally nobody gets to when you play with names like LeBron James and Luka Doncic on the Lakers.
But for the first time ever, we get to see what an Austin Reaves team looks like. And man, is it something.
In 5 games this season:
🔸26 PTS, 9 ASTS, 5 REBS
🔸25 PTS, 11 ASTS, 7 REBS
🔸51 PTS, 9 ASTS, 11 REBS
🔸41 PTS, 5 ASTS, 4 REBS
🔸28 PTS, 16 ASTS, GAME WINNER
Austin Reaves is the 130th highest paid player in the NBA this season ($13.9 million). But after 5 games, he's 2nd in the league in points.
Opportunity is everything.
