i approach the field of naturopathy like this: the key to restoring vitality (which is the primary goal of every consultation you will ever do) is to always remember that one day you are guaranteed to die. you will never be an exception no matter how many healthful behaviours you do. you will never be immune to illness and death. only with this knowledge can you truly start thinking about how to reinstate a sense of aliveness. and the best way to do this is to live such a coherent life that it is reflected in your physical body. health is the very base layer to a great life. but death is not something you can ever avoid. so in that paradox, live the healthiest life you can. can you tell i had cancer before i started my studies 😂

Very interesting phenomenon I have observed: Whenever some stranger leaves me a rude comment, I check their profile and more often than not they have posts bragging about getting vaccinated and/or attacking antivaxxers. COVID vaccines really changed the behaviour of many people that got them for the worst. They’ve become mean, rude, sectarian and have an extremely dysregulated nervous system (aluminum in the brain).

@BottleBell I am so grateful 🤍. When I was a teenager I felt that as well and left for about 5 years! Now I’m back here and appreciate it more than ever. I love living here so much. If you ever find yourself in Canada I would love for you to come visit 🪽

You are so lucky to be at your location. I grew up out on the prairies and in nothing but lost fields and agriculture. I spent my entire time wanting to leave to go to the big cool cultured world and did that for about ten years before all I wanted was to go back. There is nothing like a long afternoon horseback ride or the Sunsets or just the endless nothingness and the stars. I hope to get back there these next years in some new location I can make into my own. Haven’t ridden in maybe 20? years but used to every day after school for most of my teens. There is nothing like it, the barns, the smell of horses, there abandoned houses, the weather especially, all that is wild to be found. Beautiful view, you have a gorgeous location. I’m certain you do nothing but soak it up! Sending love and appreciation to you for these beautiful views 💕

I went to the doctor asking for blood tests, as I’ve been experiencing some minor MCAS and histamine issues. She denied certain tests because she “didn’t think they were necessary,” prescribed me Prednisone, and sent me on my way. I said I didn’t want to be taking steroids and she ignored me, told me to just take it, and explained none of the side effects, which can potentially be very severe and long lasting. Absolutely insane. This was a great reminder of how important it is to take your health into your own hands and do your own research.

@TheRawSol Did you know you can tell the dr to write down on your notes that the test was denied? They hate writing that down so will usually get your tests organised if you’re stern about it

“when a doctor tells you they don’t know how to help you, many of them (not all) act as if nobody in the entire world is capable of doing so. Either they can or nobody can.” YEP. My doctor straight up refused and admitted she won’t test certain things because she doesn’t know what to do when those markers are out of range. So grateful for you Chris ❤️. You and @Seasonal_Ryan are so amazing. Thank you for helping me and so many others that have been failed by the allopathic system. Doing God’s work 🫂🪽

I once went to an obese doctor and my ferritin was over 600. I asked if we could check for hemochromatosis They look at me like I was on drugs and questioned why they would do that. Refused to do it no matter how many pieces of evidence I gave her (ferritin >650, low TIBC, high % saturation, etc) Anyways, I ended up buying a test on my own and sure enough had the genes for hemochromatosis. This doctor was not just terrible at her job. In addition to this, she was a terrible role model for health, didn’t understand blood chemistry well enough to order further testing, and was likely so burnt out from medical school that she did not know how to do anything but follow a prescription algorithm. With all that said, my real problem stems from the fact that when a doctor tells you they don’t know how to help you, many of them (not all) act as if nobody in the entire world is capable of doing so. Either they can or nobody can. Whether they realize it or not, it’s this aspect of the modern system that subconsciously motivates many to reduce their own responsibility for their health. Why even try if the expert says there’s not much you can do?

@TheRawSol I was given prednisone for an allergic reaction when I underwent allergy testing many moons ago. Haven’t been the same since taking it. Doctors nor the pharmacist let me know anything about the medication and this was before the internet that we know today.
